The morning sun shone brightly across the city, painting the streets in a warm golden glow.
Azaan woke up earlier than usual, excitement already filling his heart. Today was the first day of the college trip, and for some reason, he couldn't stop thinking about Viki.
After packing all the things he needed, Azaan carefully locked his house and started walking towards the bus stand.
The cool breeze brushed against his face, making the morning feel even more pleasant.
As he walked down the street, a familiar figure appeared in front of him.
Viki.
Azaan's heart skipped a beat.
Viki was casually walking towards the same destination, his hands tucked into his pockets. He looked calm as always.
"Good morning, sir," Azaan greeted with a bright smile.
Viki looked at him and smiled softly.
"Good morning, Azaan."
For Azaan, that simple smile was enough to make his entire day better.
The two continued walking together towards the college. Along the way,
Azaan gathered enough courage to start a conversation.
"Sir, what do you usually do when you're free?"
Viki thought for a moment before replying.
"I like gardening."
Azaan blinked in surprise.
"Gardening?"
Viki nodded.
"Yes. It helps me relax."
Azaan smiled.
"I didn't expect that."
Viki chuckled softly.
The sound made Azaan's heart flutter.
Soon they reached the college campus where all the students had already gathered.
Excited voices filled the air as everyone waited for the trip to begin.
Before leaving, Viki stood in front of the students and explained the rules and safety instructions.
After everything was ready, the students boarded the bus.
When Azaan entered the bus, he noticed that there was only one empty seat left.
Right beside him.
And a few seconds later, Viki sat down in that seat.
Azaan felt like he was dreaming.
He tried his best to remain calm, but inside, his heart was celebrating.
The bus finally started moving.
Most students were chatting loudly, taking pictures, and enjoying themselves.
Meanwhile, Viki quietly opened a book and started reading.
Azaan couldn't stop glancing at him.
The way Viki focused on his book.
The way his hair moved slightly whenever the wind entered through the window.
Everything about him seemed perfect.
Without realizing it, Azaan found himself smiling.
After some time, Viki's eyes slowly became heavy.
He tried to stay awake, but the long journey was making him sleepy.
A few minutes later, Viki's head gently fell onto Azaan's shoulder.
Azaan froze.
His entire body became stiff.
For a moment, he couldn't even breathe.
Viki was sleeping on his shoulder.
The person he admired the most was resting against him so naturally.
Azaan carefully stayed still, afraid that even the smallest movement would wake him up.
A warm smile appeared on his face.
The journey that should have felt long suddenly became far too short.
Nearly one and a half hours later, the bus finally arrived at their destination—a beautiful hill station surrounded by mountains and greenery.
Azaan gently called out.
"Sir... we're here."
Viki slowly opened his eyes.
Only then did he realize where he had been sleeping.
His cheeks immediately turned slightly pink.
"Sorry, Azaan."
"It's okay, sir."
Azaan tried to sound calm, though his heart was racing.
Everyone got down from the bus and admired the beautiful scenery around them.
The cool mountain air felt refreshing.
After gathering all the students, Viki announced that they would be staying there for two days.
Excited cheers immediately erupted from the students.
Soon, everyone started setting up tents.
The students were divided into teams and given different responsibilities.
While Azaan was helping his team, he noticed Viki setting up his own tent alone.
Without thinking, he kept looking in Viki's direction.
His friend Sam quickly noticed.
"Why do you keep looking there?"
Azaan immediately looked away.
"Nothing."
Sam raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.
As evening approached, Viki gathered everyone again.
"We need firewood for the campfire tonight," he announced.
The students spread out and started searching for wood.
While carrying a bundle of firewood, Azaan suddenly stumbled on a loose stone.
Before he could fall, a strong hand grabbed his wrist.
Azaan looked up.
Viki.
"Careful."
The single word made Azaan's heart race.
"Thank you, sir."
Viki gave him a small smile before letting go.
Even after their hands separated, Azaan could still feel the warmth of Viki's touch.
That small moment remained in his mind for the rest of the evening.
Soon the campfire was ready.
The flames danced beneath the dark sky as everyone sat around the fire sharing stories, jokes, and laughter.
The atmosphere was warm and cheerful.
But while everyone enjoyed themselves, Viki sat slightly away from the group, quietly watching the students.
And somehow, Azaan's eyes kept finding him.
Later that night, everyone returned to their tents.
But sleep refused to come to Azaan.
After tossing and turning for a while, he stepped outside.
The night sky was filled with countless stars.
And beneath the silver moonlight, someone was already sitting there.
Viki.
He was looking up at the stars, completely lost in thought.
For a moment, Azaan simply stood there, watching him.
The moonlight made Viki look even more beautiful than usual.
Taking a deep breath, Azaan slowly walked towards him.
And unknowingly, this quiet night was about to bring them even closer than before...
