The bandit guild and the Order of the Iron Envelope actually have a pretty interesting history with one another. The National Association of Brigands and Cuthroats (or NABC) itself was established in response to the horrendous crusade launched by the Iron Envelope after one of their couriers was robbed by a small band of mountain bandits. The postal knights were relentless in their response and began purging Paragon of every highwayman they could find with relentless efficiency. In an act of desperation the remaining bandits united into one unified guild and made peace with the Iron envelope, establishing the first bandit bylaws at the treaty of the bloody stamp. Today the two factions maintain an uneasy truce; The bandits protect and police the roads from unauthorized muggings, while the postal knights (mostly) refrain from maiming any bandits they come across. With any luck Xitlali and Tucker here will just be let off with a warning (and most likely several dozen bruises as well).
And with that lil' lore dump we are officially finished with chapter 3! Huzzah!
I shall once again be taking my traditional end of chapter break from the comic, returning in a couple months with chapter 4 . That time won't (just) be spent loafing about playing games however, it will be spent working on a giant new squires for hire project! It's still in the planning phase at the moment, but I'll be making some proper announcements and providing updates on my patreon real soon.
Thank you all for sticking with my silly little comic so far and get hyped for some cool stuff in the coming months!
Three young girls attend St. Briar's Academy for Squires, a fantastical school for knights-in-training in the mystical land of Paragon. Together they must survive dangerous monsters, perilous quests, and worst of all, each other.
