[I am screwed, I am legit screwed] He thought as he was looking at the test paper. He flipped through pages trying to find questions he could somewhat guess. He looked left and right, some were scratching their heads, some were sweating, some were even praying.

"You're done?", The instructor asked.

[WHAT SOMEONE IS DONE? IT'S ONLY BEEN 20 MINUTES], He thought and noticed a short girl with a pointy hat as giving her exam paper to the instructor.

"Yes"

"As expected of the granddaughter of the Principal, okay you may leave and rest for the next test"

"Thank you", she answered softly.

After a while, Luca racked his brain and thought.

[Wait a second, dragon king, do you know the answer to some of these questions?]

[Yes, What of it?]

[Could you perhaps...Tell me the answers to some of them?]

[I don't see why not, but you said you wanted to get the result by your own hands]

[YEAH, BUT I THOUGHT I WAS JUST A MAGIC TEST NOT A WRITTEN TEST LIKE THIS]

After 70 minutes of hastily writing several more answers and making sure that he didn't ace it, the written test is over.

[My...Brain...what kind of sick people would make this?]

[This is a magic academy, what did you expect?]

[I KNOW! I KNOW! But, finally it's the practical exam next]

"Now that the written test is over, All of you can go to the field for your practical exam", The instructor said.

All of the candidates walked towards the exam field.

"For this exam, all you need is to hit the target, use whatever kind of magic you have", the instructor stated. Several targets appeared in the distance, some were moving, and some were close by. The instructor proceeded to call the students one by one.

[Well, it seems that girl is going to be first-]

"Flame spear", She chanted.

[HMM?!]

Suddenly a flame shaped like a spear was shot out from a complex looking magic circle, obliterating the target

"Good, next", the instructor said.

Luca's mouth opened for a moment and his eyes widened.

[WHAT! THAT SPEED, THAT HOW DID...HOW]

[Relax, it's just Mastery Magic, why are you so worked up?]

[I KNOW, THAT'S HARD, HOW COULD SHE CAST THAT!?]

[I Think you should focus more on not making yourself look like a fool]

Luca closed his mouth and clapped his hands. He heard some of the other candidates mumble.

[Seriously, but i guess that's a genius for you]

As more names were being called, Luca could feel his heart racing.

Before his turn, a noble-like girl stepped up for her turn. She had a sword beside her.

[Why does she have a sword?]

"Strengthening" "Flash sword", She chanted.

[HUH WHAT! WHAT ARE THOSE SPELLS]

[Enhancement magic]

[WAIT WHAT?!]

An aura was exuded by the girl after casting said spells and her sword was shining too. Her sword slash created a projection that cut through 3 targets at once.

[It's one of the basic spells, essentially it's an extension of light magic]

[WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT]

It was finally Luca's turn. He took a breath.

[Well, Hope this works], He said as he opened both of his palms and 2 magic circles, red and green respectively, were projected. He clapped his hands, combining both circles and shot out a flaming gust of wind, burning one of the targets.

"Okay, Next", the instructor said.

[Okay, okay, I got one]

[You could have gotten three you know]

[I Know, I know by using your power and yada yada yada]

[Sigh]

Eventually, after every candidate had their turn, it's finally time for the final exam, the interview.

"Okay, all of you can wait here and once your names are called, you can come inside", the instructor stated.

One by one, the candidates were called while Luca is sweating, awaiting his turn.

[Calm down]

[EASY FOR YOU TO SAY, I AM THE ONE WHO HAS TO ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS]

[Freaking out won't help you anyway]

"Candidate Luca", the instructor called

'Y...Yes"

"You may come in"

Luca entered the room, in front of him were 5 figures sitting behind a wide desk with several papers on top.

"Your name...Luca right", The middle person said.

"Y..Yes sir"

"Good to meet you Luca, I am the Headmaster of this school, Theodore von Schrodinger, and beside me may or may not be your future teachers"

[T..This is scary, I can feel their stare, why are they staring so intently]

[Most likely me because of me]

[...WHAT? THEY CAN SENSE YOU?]

[Any high ranking magician can easily sense me, why do you think the one on the left is sweating]

Luca looked to his left and saw an educator clearly shaking and sweating.

"Let's cut to the chase Luca, You're a spirit caster are you?", Headmaster Theodore said.

"Umm...Yes?", Luca answered.

[I mean based on the book I read, I am at least]

"So why did you use World Magic in the practical test, you combined them no less", One of the educators asked.

"Um, it's a magic I frequently use miss", Luca answered.

"I see, so can you show us your Spirit Magic?", another educator asked.

The room felt silent for a moment

"Do I...Have to sir?", He said

The educator's eyes widened.

"We need to evaluate your abilities Luca and whether or not you are suitable for this academy", Theodore stated.

"But I-"

"This kid's just shy, Why don't we give him a push", another educator stated with a wide grin on her face.

"What-"

She jumped from her seat and readied a magic-powered punch, aiming at Luca.

Luca's eyes widen and in and in an instant, a giant magic circle below him, shooting out the advance magic "Flame wall". The educator stopped in her tracks and was grinning.

As the flame wall dissipated, Luca's arm and legs were covered in scales and his fingers were now claws.

[WHY! WHAT! ARE THESE GUYS CRAZY?]

[Calm down, her hit wouldn't have killed you anyway]

[SHE WAS EXUDING KILLING INTENT! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?]

"So my hunch was right, It was a dragon you made a contract with", Theodore said as he chuckled.

"A dragon? Now that's interesting", the crazed educator said as she returned to her seat.

Luca made a fist with both of his hands and the scales slowly disappeared from his body. He got his footing back and tried catching his breath.

"It seems he doesn't have control over it just yet", an educator stated.

"That can be managed, we have other students who are also spirit magic users", another one answered.

"Now Luca, our final question-"

Luca looked back at the Instructor.

"Why do you want to be in this academy?".

For a moment, silence filled the room as they awaited the candidate's answer.
