"Okay you lots, Head to the field! We're doing something practical for once", Miss Grealine said as she hit the whiteboard with her fist. She then left the room...and also a crack on the whiteboard. 

Some of the students had already stood up from their seats, going out of class, while some were still flabbergasted. 

"Is that really necessary?",Luca asked.

"Well, she is a "tiger" if you catch my drift, let's go to the field before she bite us dude", Vale said.

"Kay" 

All the students arrived at the field. 

"Kay you all, before we start, I need a volunteer", she said with quite an intimidating smile. 

Even standing behind everyone, Luca could feel the pressure around her.

[SERIOUSLY CAN'T SHE TURN THAT OFF]

"I will do it", Madeline said as she raised her hand.

[Oh god] 

"Ohh, interesting, you're from the house of Deelot right? Let's see if you live up to your family name", Miss Grealina said whilst gesturing to her to come in front. 

Madeline bowed and said "Thank you for the chance". She prepared her stance. 

"Just because you're a noble, don't expect me to hold back against you, young lady"

Madeline said "Strengthening", "Light foot", "Endurance"

"Triple casting, now that's interesting", Miss Grealina said as she dashed forward. 

Madeline evaded one of her attacks and retaliated with a thrust, but her blade was grabbed. MIss Grealina used the chance to punch her gut, making her writhe in pain. 

[This..This teacher is actually crazy, she just punched a noble...without magic no less]

"Even with your magic, If you can't even take a hit, might as well be dead", Miss Grealina said with an intimidating expression

"Thank...you for...the lesson", Madeline said, trying to get back up. 

"Now, I want you all to find a practice partner, use any kind of magic", she says

[Did this..teacher really condone violence]

Suddenly Luca felt a hand on his shoulder. 

"Dude, wanna tag?", Vale asked

"Oh umm, Sure?"

"Good, let's go there"

Several minutes later, 

Luca was on the ground, trying to catch his breath. Vale sat beside him, equally exhausted and mud on his face. 

"Seriously, you fight dirty dude", Vale said

"Hey, she said anything goes. Besides, you used advance wind magic man!"

"Yeah, but making the ground slippery with water and earth magic? You are seriously one heck of a guy"

Luca looked at the sky and noticed something in the sky, an odd shape. 

"Hei, Vale, you know what that is?", Luca pointed to the sky.

"Oh, that's the academy's defence system, it's powered by the school's core"

"School core? What is that?", Luca said as he closed his eyes 

"If I remember correctly, it's like an artifact of some sort" 

"Oh that's cool"

"Well, I am gonna go to the restroom first"

"Kay dude", Luca said as he closed his eyes. 

"Your name is Luca right?"

"AGH", Luca screamed as he saw a familiar face and he stood up. 

"Umm, yes?", he continued

"Your magic, why do you combine them?", Marie asked. 

"Uhhh, because that's how I use it? "

[What's with her question] 

"I suggest you stick with your fire magic, combining magic is not as efficient and the results often unpredictable", she said. 

[...Wait, is that true?]

[Yes]

[WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?]

[Do I need to repeat myself?]

[Fair enough] 

"Oh, umm okay? I guess? Thank you?",

"You're welcome", Marie said as she left.

[That was...something] 

Luca looked around and saw Madeline sparring with another student. When she had forced the other student to lose balance, she extended her hand to help the student get up. 

"Let's go again", she said with a smile on her face. She turned back, walking to her position, but it looked like she bit her lip

[Huh, for a noble, why does she look so-]

She then glared at him. Luca then averted his gaze and covered his face with his hand. 

[SHE DIDN'T SEE ME DID SHE? I SWEAR I WASN'T STARING AT ANYTHING!]

Suddenly Luca could feel a strong grip on his shoulder.

[....I Know this feeling]

"So, it seems your sparring partner is not here. Why don't you give Miss Grealina a good match?", Miss Grealina said with a sinister smile on her face.

"Umm, I think, I-"

Her grip tightened.

Luca's legs were shaking uncontrollably and his face was filled with sweat.
