In the practical area behind the academy, 

"I will be taking charge of this operation, if any of you have objections, please raise your hand", 

Madeline said with a stern tone. 

[I still can't believe I am stuck with her of all people, but at least Vale is here]

Accepting the lack of response, she took charge. 

"Let's move forward", She said as she led the expedition. 

They marched forward. 

They had fought wolves, giant bees, and many other beasts along the way. 

When they were facing a giant ape, one of them lost concentration on the binding spell and another student almost got crushed by the beast's fist. 

However, Madeline dealt with the beast with a single precise strike.

She grabbed the student's shirt and said, "ARE YOU CRAZY?"

"I....I-"

"Hei!", Luca said as he grabbed Madeline's wrist. 

"You!"

"Let him go, you're scaring him"

She let go of the student and huffed in frustration.

Luca sighed and said, "Why are you so worked up? He just lost concentration a bit, we had-"

She grabbed Luca's shirt and said, "He made a MISTAKE, and when we make mistakes...people die!"

"..."

"Let's go, all of you, we still need to get to the checkpoint", she said as she let go of him and walked away

[Seriously, Why is she so tense all the time]

"Don't mind her dude, it's probably because of her family", Vale said

"her family?"

"She came from a lineage of knights, of course she is tense"

Luca then kept walking behind her. 

After a while, they encountered a giant salamander near a ravine. 

"Prepare your spells, Luca you're with me", she said as she charged at the beast. 

"Huh? Okay!?", Luca said as he followed behind.

Both of them used "Strengthening" and charged at the beast. 

"We will avert its gaze, the rest of you, Blast it!" 

[WE WILL WHAT?]

"Got it!", The three said in unison.

Madeline slashed the beast and Luca punched it, however their attacks bounced off the beast's slippery skin. 

"NOW!", Madeline ordered. The three other students blasted their advanced wind magic "Wind slash", cutting the beast's limbs. 

"Flash blade", Madeline said as she jumped and stabbed the beast's head. She pulled back her blade. She jumped down from the beast. 

"Good job everyone, now-"

"LOOK OUT", Luca said as he reached Madeline as she was about to get hit with the beast's tail. It wasn't dead yet. 

Both of them got hit, and were thrown to the ravine.
