"ughh", The knight mumbled as she woke up.

"You're finally awake", Luca said who was beside her.

Her eyes widened and she pushed him aside. "You...What did you-"

"HEI! OW! I didn't do anything okay!"

She looked down and noticed his jacket covering torn garments.

"For a noble, you sure hit hard", he said

"We need to go back, we need regrou-"

"OKAY, HOLD ON, we just fell for I don't know how many feet, luckily i casted gust to slow our fall, and now we're both wounded, lost and you want us to go back?!"

"YES! They need us", she said as she stood up and grabbed her scattered belongings

"No! no, we need to wait for the adults to get us!"

"What about them !? Our group!"

"WHAT ABOUT US!"

for a moment...silence engulfes the ravine.

"As a knight-"

"YEAH YEAH AS A KNIGHT YOU WANT TO PROTECT YOUR PEOPLE"

"You dare to insult me!"

"YEAH OR ELSE WE'RE DEAD!", Luca said. Hostility filled their environment. 

"For god sake, I get you're worried about them, I am worried too, but we need to survive this..."

"Tch"

As they argued, they could hear footsteps, but they were fast, and there were more than one, actually there were several, they could even feel the ground shaking and a loud echoing sound from the distance of the ravine.

"Oh...you've got to be kidding me", Luca said. They both knew monsters were coming, and they didn't have a lot of options.

Madeline stood up sluggishly and gripped her weapon. 

"Luca, as your captain, I order you to run away", She said. Luca looked at her and questioned "What are you gonna do?"

[OH FOR GOD SAKE DON'T TELL ME WHAT SHE IS ABOUT TO DO]

"fulfilling my duty", she said as she stood her ground against the oncoming forces. Their footsteps getting closer, their shadows slowly emerge. 

[WHATEVER]

Luca packed his things preparing to escape and she slowly began fending off the beasts. 

[You're going to leave her?]

[HEY! She ordered me to]

"You foul beast won't lay your claws on him", she said as he kept running. Luca looked back and saw a fool. Who would be dumb enough to fight whilst shaking in her boots. However, not long after...

"AGH FOR GOD SAKE", He dropped his things and punched one of the beasts that was about to attack Madeline. 

"Luca! I ordered you to-"

"YEAH YEAH I KNOW, SO SHUT IT!", he said. Luca stood beside her and said "We're a team, so we will do this together" He extended his hand.

[I thought you said-]

[YEAH YEAH I KNOW SHUT UP OR ELSE I MIGHT REGRET THIS] 

Both of them met eye to eye and she grabbed his hand and stood up.

They both readied their stance.

When the golem was about to punch them or stomp, luca ran but the knight stood still, she was in fear, she couldn't beat that, 

she closed her eyes.

Yet no impact came, 

rather she felt..warmth

she opened her eyes, seeing the boy who ran, luca in front of her, holding the giant's foot with his... Claws?"

"SERIOUSLY DON'T JUST STAND THERE!", He shouted as he pushed the giant away

"God damn it! You ! You! Who just stands there and lets herself get killed!", he complained as they both noticed the giant was getting back up.

Luca ran towards the giant and shouted "CAPTAIN! Don't just STAND THERE! GIVE ME ORDERS!"

She snapped out of it and said "Y..Yes"

The golem tried to punch Luca, but he kept dodging and running about. He casted several small fireballs, yet it didn't even leave a scratch.

[CMON I NEED ORDERS HERE! WHY IS SHE JUST STARING AT ME!]

The golem's attention then went to her, however Luca shouted, "OH NO YOU DON'T" and proceeded to use "Strengthening" to punch the golem's chest, getting its attention yet still not even denting it. 

"LUCA!"

"YES?", He said as he kept running and dodging all of the giant's attacks. 

"HIT IT'S JOINTS", Madeline Shouted

"AY AY CAPTAIN!", Luca said as he used strengthening again and punched the golem's knees, making it stumble. 

"DO IT NOW MADELINE!" 

Madeline had been charging up her magic. 

"Starlight Blade", She said as her sword glowed and was increasing in length. She then Slashed down, cutting the Golem straight in half. 

[Was that an advanced light magic? That's SO COOL], He thought as he laid on the ground, exhausted.

"Thank...God...I thought...we would have died back there", he said as his dragon characteristics dissipated.

"Luca...I-", she said as she noticed he was asleep, probably exhausted all of his stamina in the fight. 

She smiled and carried him up, "You're such a fool, but...I think I'm starting to get you, Luca"
