Luca clapped his hands, combining "Fireball" and "Tornado", and shot out a flaming tornado.

As both attacks clashed, snowflakes started to spread around the battlefield.

[Woah, that's cool]. Luca thought as he looked around.

The girl took to the skies using "Fly", a Beyond Mastery Magic spell.

[She finally moved] He thought and then proceeded to use light magic in an attempt to blind her.

However, as the light dissipated, he felt a slight pull on his arm. He noticed a whip made of thorns had entangled his arm.

[Oh no you don't!]

Luca used his strength and pulled her up instead. For once in the battle, they see eye to eye.

When their eyes met, for a moment time stopped.

The girl blasted him with "Tornado" and created distance between them. They both looked at each other yet again.

Luca combined "Gust" , "Create fire", and "Create water" and a mist was blasted from both of his palms.

The girl overlaid two different coloured magic circles and blasted a stronger flaming tornado, blowing the mist away and hitting Luca.

[Tch, Didn't expect that], he thought as he tried to fly towards her, but would be halted by a boulder smashing him to the ground.

He stood up with his last bit of strength and felt sick in his stomach.

[Your mana is almost out, human]

[Yeah...I should have paid attention, but-], he thought as he looked at her yet again. He readied his wings.

[I can't stop yet!]

Combining "Tornado" and "Create fire", Luca repulsed himself towards her.

She smiled and overlaid several magic circles, combining all of them, blasting out several magma rocks towards him.

The battlefield was a mess, no one could see anything, but the results didn't matter, for these two are having the time of their lives

In the end, the boy was laying on the battlefield. Exhausted, breathing heavily, but that wouldn't erase the smile on his face.

The girl would float down gently and extended her hand

"Why are you smiling?", She asked as she extended her hand.

He looked at her and said "Why...are you?". He chuckled and accepted her help.

"Sigh, I wish I could have been a better match for you, but...I can't lie, I had a lot of fun", He said with a smile on his face.

Marie's eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat.

"I...had fun too", She replied with a smile.
