The carriage stops and footsteps are heard coming around the wall. Outside, Riddik is putting his hand over his eyes to shield from the sun. No clouds in sight... peculiar. He looks around at the wastelanded chiro contrasting with the beauty of the bounds surrounding their chassis. The brighter green fungal grasses stir in the winds and the mists of the hot, acidic springs whiz away as the sun beams down to touch what little water is left of it. Riddik starts to worry...

The group is sleeping peacefully and are rudely awakened by the door opening. Riddik steps in and checks on everyone. He goes over to his ledger, looking it over. Achiin rubs their eyes, yawning. He gasps a bit as he sees a vision of many images. They're too fast for him to make out. "Woah..." Parts of the images interested him, though. Something seemed spectacular about one at the end. It looked like... Alex... and something about his back seemed... off, different.

Alex and the others also wiped their eyes and stretched. Riddik goes back outside to check the engine and then after a few minutes, he starts it up again. It's very hot outside all of a sudden. Akhmin immediately realizes the heatwave. Something isn't right. He gets up to check on Riddik about the weather. Alex breathes on his hand. Mist stays in the air for quite some time, just stagnant in the same place as the vehicle forwards. He pokes at it. Nothing changes really. It's cold... He looks around him and sees everyone is starting to swelter. "Is this... normal?" He saw how Akhmin got up and how Riddik looked. Seff shakes his head. Elkhra immediately gets up and does the same. "This isn't right at all. Talann used to be more oasis-like. It was a tad swampy but only because of the greenery." He looks down at the ground "I haven't been to Talann much but I have been here a couple of times... with my parents. Something is off here." 

Elkhra goes to the edge of the carriage and looks out the window. He about gets blinded by sunlight as he squints, looking off into the distance. The grass still looked about the same as it used to. The yellow grasses from the plains in Raphiim village looked alot worse... and yet they got more storms. Did the weather migrate somehow? 

The carriage took some journey until it came to a complete stop. As the crew all got up, they were greeted with Riddik again, followed by Akhmin. Riddik opened the door and moved the drapes out of the way, motioning everyone off-board. "Time to go, c'mon!" Alex hops out, Seff and Elkhra following. Zyphon and Achiin hopped down together as they all marvelled at the architecture.

Riddik waved his hand at the town. "Welcome to Talann everyone! Ah... finally... okay so now we--" Elkhra casually walks by with Seff following fast behind. Riddik watches them walk off and stares menacingly. "Or... yaknow just... fucking buzz off then that's fine..." He somewhat cracks his ledger angrily but then he just folds the two pieces in and gives it to Akhmin. Akhmin gets the idea and puts the ledger back in the carriage. Riddik goes over to Alex and Achiin while Zyphon steadily sits in place, observing. Alex gently smiles, staring off into space in wonder as he sees all the shops lining the road. He looks back at his clothes, holding his cheek in ponder. "Hey... Riddik? Is it possible to... get better clothes?" Alex asks. Riddik happily obliges his request with his hands cuffed together. "Absolutely positive! Talann has the most formal clothing in all of Aphrodite. Right this way!~" He looks at Zyphon but indifferently. 

Akhmin comes back out and meets back with Alex and the group. Seff and Elkhra are seen just in the middle of the cobblestone road. A square filled with bustling groups of people and automobiles fill the sides. Tall buildings made of stone and metal line the blocks drenched in a grey and cobalt-green color. Windows of shops can be seen where they're standing and a fountain orients the middle, spouting pure water. Seff smiles happily as he touches the liquid. "Look Elk, the water! It doesn't sting..." He watches it drip off his fingertips. "It also feels nice considering... the heat... what do you think is causing this?" Elkhra stares at his charm... he twiddles it with his fingers as he looks over to the other group meeting back up with them.

As Alex's group comes back around and greets, Elkhra gets up and asks Riddik what the plan is. Riddik reacts with somber but hesitant assurance. "We will go down in a day... It will take about 6 hours to descend..." Elk goes back to crossing his arms, scowling at Alex. He notices this so Elk refutes his expression and looks the other direction in more of a concerned way. "In the meantime let's just take a break and find some... trinkets."

Seff gets up after hearing something about fashion and waves their hand happily, running after Riddik and Alex. "Can I come?! I would love to see what Alex is gonna wear." Elk shudders in dismay but sighs and releases his arms. "Ugh... okay okay we'll go and watch..." Seff smiles at Riddik and gets a reply, "Of course, Seff. Now come with, we cannot delay for too long." Elk nods aggressively once. Akhmin looks around as they walk off toward the clothing store. He sees a nice smithy in the distance so he walks over to see their wares...
