But even that...

had it's limits.

A brief lapse of concentration in the midst of battle was all it took for a nasty lizard monster to land it's enormous tail – squarely on her back, delivering a crushing blow.

"GAH-----" 

All the air was knocked out of her lungs from the devastating impact and she was sent flying straight toward the hungry maws of bloodthirsty monsters.

While in the air, Rhea's mind started slipping in and out of consciousness.

At her last moments, she suddenly heard the voice of a man calling out her name with anxiety, before catching her in his powerful masculine arms.

But the man's face was what cemented her thoughts of this being definitely a dream.

Because, how was it even possible for someone to be this handsome? 

His eyes, his nose, his mouth, his chin, his cheeks – everything about him was literally perfect.

But when combined, the resulting symmetry was out of this world, that's how attractive he was.

" So Handsome~~ " 😍

Admiring his countenance and wishing that this beautiful dream could last forever, Rhea raised her still functioning right hand and lightly caressed his cheeks.

But once again,

Her wish was denied.

With darkness swallowing her mind the next moment, she died.

Or so she thought.

After unconsciously drinking the health potion given to her by Galen, Rhea's body recovered in the blink of an eye, her pale face from excessive blood loss reverting back to it's healthy complexion.

A few seconds later, she finally opened her eyes came face to face with Galen's striking looks once more.

Looking into her beautiful amethyst eyes, Galen greeted with a relieved smile, his fierce golden eyes filled with tenderness.

" Hey there, Dear Teacher ! " 

Galen still hasn't realised how dangerous his smile had gotten – with his charm now in the twenties after reaching level 10.

Looking at that beautiful smile, Rhea fell into a daze.

"Hello...?" 

Since she didn't respond to his earlier greeting, Galen started waving his hands across her face.

That finally brought her back to her senses, and Rhea remembered everything she did before falling unconscious – thinking that it was all a dream.

She immediately averted her eyes, an intense blush slowly covering her cheeks. 

Just then, Galen's voice echoed in her ear.

"I wouldn't mind holding you like this forever, but... 

we got company." 

Saying that, Galen pointed towards the next batch of monsters emerging from the dimensional gate.

Only now did Rhea finally realise the position she was in.

Lying flat on the ground, her head was resting comfortably on his lap. She had never been this close to a man before, in her entire life. 

Rhea leapt to her feet in shock, the blush that was covering her cheeks now spreading across her whole face, eventually reaching her ears.

Seeing her adorable expression, Galen's heart was practically melting with sweetness. It took all his willpower to stop himself from rushing upto her and kissing her again.

But Rhea wasn't any better.

Her heart was pounding hard, like it was about to explode out of her chest, just from the brief moment of intimacy she shared with him.

 'Argh....'

'Just what is happening to me?' 

But she wasn't given too long to wonder about it. 

"Here, take them.", Galen said, shoving two purple daggers, exactly matching her hair colour, in her hands. 

The daggers were more exquisite the the ones she already had and even without touching the blades, Rhea could practically feel their sharpness prickling at her skin. She had no doubt that even those monster's tough hide could stop these blades.

Seeing her examining the weapons with fascination, even to the point of forgetting her previous embarassment, Galen continued with a light smile.

"Use them and finish off the monsters lying around the gate first. It'll help you level up faster. Then you can join me in killing the ones coming through the gate." 

Galen said, showing her the limbless monsters lying all around, still writhing on the ground like worms. 

With their enhanced physiques, the bleeding from the stumps had already stopped, saving them from the fate of bleeding to their deaths.

Witnessing the nonchalance in his tone while addressing those gruesome monsters, doubt crept into her mind. 

With slight hesitation, Rhea asked.

"Umm... Can you tell me how long has it been since I passed out?" 

"Around 30 to 40 seconds, I guess." Galen answered.

Hearing his reply, Rhea's eyes went wide.

'He did all this – in what? Under 30 seconds?'

'Just what the hell is he? A monster?' 

Rhea was practically screaming inside her mind. 

Taking a deep breath and putting those messy thoughts aside, she focused on the current task at hand – killing monsters.

She still had plenty of questions to ask him, like...

{ Who is he?'

'Why is he so powerful?'

'Where did those daggers he gave her suddenly come from?'

'And how is it that she was standing here perfectly fine, when she was supposed to be at death's door if not already dead?' }

'But those can wait untill I'm done with these bastards.'

Rotating one of the the daggers in her right hand, Rhea gave a curt nod to Galen, agreeing with his plan.

Then turning towards the monsters, her eyes flashed with a predatory glint.

Watching her slowly approaching with a menacing expression, a collective shiver went down the spines of all the monsters there.

Gone was the cute, blushing girl from before – replaced by a ruthless assassin, whose blades have taken countless lives. 

Reaching the nearby monster, a wolf like abomination, Rhea jumped on it's back.

Then, using her new daggers and taking her sweet time, she slowly cut through the monster's entire neck, eventually separating it's head from the body.

Having lost all four of it's limbs, the monster started swinging it's head left and right. But even then, it couldn't escape its inevitable fate – of getting beheaded in the end.

Jumping down, Rhea kicked the monster's head towards another monster – an arachnid, selecting it as her next target.

Her voluptuous body, now fully drenched in blood, courtesy of the headless wolf, she approached the spider with a brilliant smile plastered on her face.

Seeing her walking in it's direction, the spider was so scared that it's soul nearly left it's body.

Soon, the place was filled with the sounds of various monsters – their roars and screeches filled with fear, agitation, and eventually despair.

And Galen – like a lovestruck fool continued to admire her from his position, not even fazed by her cruel acts of revenge on the helpless monsters. 

In fact, her crazed smile and vengeful nature only made her more sexy in his eyes.

Yes...

Something was definitely wrong with his head.

But, you can't actually blame him. Living as a loner for millions of years often does that to people.
