Soul Stasis - Termigann

|Ep 4| - "A New Perspective"

|Ep 4| - "A New Perspective"

Jul 18, 2026

Alex and the group walk up to a couple of stores, sight-seeing and perusing window wares. Riddik points at one of the shops that has a fancy sign right outside hanging on a pole. The wind catches it subtly making a small creaking noise. As they enter, slight clouds of dust waft up into Riddik's face as he waves it away, coughing. "Goodness... Hello? Nilin?" he shouts but nobody replies. After a couple of seconds a voice is heard and then a thump. Someone scrambles out of the back room holding a couple bolts of embroidered cloth with matted but vibrant patterns of spirals. His outfit consisted of a pitch darkened, navy vestament with grey, affixed triangular spiral patterns and a deep blue tie tucked with a horizontal and rectangular rhinestone brooch. His feathered hair was like an exploded pom version of Riddik's, tied back but with wider, fluffier feathers. He had dark brown skin that soaked the light from the windows as his periwinkle irises gazed up at the group. Nilin fixes his half-hexagonal glasses after ruffling his clothes from his fall. "Vitrium is that you?"

Riddik runs up to him to dust him off further and introduces the others. "Nil I'd like you to meet a new customer. I wanted to pay him back for... well... his 'work' earlier." Riddik's expression isn't so ecstatic but rather in thought. Work wasn't quite the answer he meant but rather his potential. He looks at Nilin and walks over to Alex immediately after out of awkward evasion. He puts his palms out, presenting Alex to the shopkeep.

The others were happily looking at clothing. Even Elkhra seemed to like looking at some things even with his personality seemingly masked with comfort. Seff watches Alex as Riddik and Nil speak. As Alex looks back, he hears his name called. He follows them off into the vanity room. Fabrics are lined on the sides of the carpeted fitting area and a large decorative mirror stood in the middle, reflecting a pedestal. Alex was familiar with the shape of the mirror being quite metallic but deep and golden in color. His dreams gave him a silver one. He put his hand on the mirror and Nilin wags his finger at him. "Stop that I'll need to clean after..." He goes on to sort through his clothing rack yet again.

Alex looks at Nilin's eyes before he returns to his sorting. Everything about this person feels... familiar. He remembers someone he once knew. It keeps feeling like his memory had a leak since the cave... A flash of the face he once knew blocked his vision for one millisecond. Riddik stands with his hands locked just looking at them both with a cheeky smile as he waits. "Ah here we go!" Nilin takes out some sample clothing to show Alex and his friend. "These are your choices. Now these aren't necessarily just for wearing, no. These are for imagining your true outfit" As Nilin looks up, he sees tears falling from Alex's eyes. Both of them. No glowing. Nilin gives a shocked reaction, "I... I didn't mean to make you upset." He looks over to Riddik and he just shrugs at Nil.

Alex looks back at him, unaware of his emotions. "True... outfit...? What do you mean?" Nilin, put off by the crying, smiles and nods turning his head toward accessories. He counts some peculiar colors that bond with the current examples and looks back at him a bit, squinting his eyes. "Yes... this looks... ... ok." He takes a tray over to a table next to the pedestal. All of the shapes are triagonal in geometry. Something odd about how they are all in tandom with three-vertice shapes. Alex looks up at Nil. Nilin has his fists propped up on his hips awaiting the selection as he smiles carefully, assessing him.

Alex looks back at the cufflinks and softly picks up the cyan blue ones. They had thick, deep golden rims. Nilin looks at Riddik with wider eyes, his smile turning in surprise. He immediately jogs toward what seemed to be a dark hallway. A bit of struggle sounds as he drags an entire leather luggage case into the vanity room, falling flat on his back. Plenty of dust is caked on it from what seems like years piled up in the back of a closet. As he rubs his forehead, he gets up and opens the clasps. The case looked dark navy, clasps the same color as the metal on the cufflinks. As it opens, a pair of dark blue chinos with lighter blue pinstripe are seen perfectly folded right next to a vest of browned leather. Curled spiral engravings are burned into it as a noticeable, deep-sea green rhombus is on the back.

Nilin takes the clothes out and a pair of burnished, dark blue oxfords are nestled into a sheet of silk. The soles are made of that same exact golden metal as if coincidence had stricken a third time. Although that specificity is now like prophecy when what is revealed underneath are... yep you guessed it... triangles of cyan. Although yet again familiar with all of these, Alex doesn't remember them having metal on the bottom of the shoes, nor... triangles. "What is with all these triangles?" Nilin shrugs. "I literally have no clue. I found these a ways back in my mind so... I made them. I don't know what compelled me to create this outfit but..." Nil takes out a large, flattened coat of lighter blue. The tail was pointed once over and seams ran diagonally acrossed it. "I do think it's missing something." Alex gains a spark of thought as he realizes the neck is bare. After depicting a circular ring, he takes the stone he has out of his pocket, imagining the setting on the outfit. An upside down slot with three corners. It's the exact same shape... Nil stares at his gestures. It takes him a second to make a connection, but he gasps. In awe, he shouts, "W-where did you find this?!" Alex looks at him. He informs about how Riddik was harboring it. Nil Stares at Riddik and holds his collar like a mad-man. "Why didn't you show me this!" He laughs a bit and gets excited, thinking. "Oh we ... we need to do something here..." He thonks his head with his palm, of how ignorant he was. "We need to make a brooch! That is exactly what is missing." Riddik pats his head. Nilin simmers down just a tad and breathes out slowly, "Phew yeah sorry... I gotta calm down." He scratches the back of his head in embarassment.

Alex is fitted with a new silk shirt. Some cuffs were tapered around his wrists' sleeves while he was taught how to put on the vestiment. He brought the coat with him, including a ruff it came with thrown over it. He turns and looks in the mirror. His hair again... how bothersome... Riddik intrajects, seeing his disdain. "We can go get your hair fixed up too don't worry." Alex ignores him, staring at the mirror closely. He closes his eyes and his hair just... reforms. Tendrils of thinly strung metallic ends recede as it curls up to his shoulders. The sides, hugging his jawline. The longer hair in the back curls up into a fluffy, but tame mullet while his bangs feather. Once he opens his eyes, his pulse echoes loudly to reveal... who he was all along.

Not every mullet looks the same...

For instance, old anime mullets looked really neat in my perspective. I love 70's - 80's anime hairstyles... Very fluffy

(If you want to find an Alexander in an alternate world, go watch Daft Punk's collab movie, "Interstella 5555: The 5tory of The 5ecret 5tar 5ystem". Yeah I know it's a mouthful... Love that movie btw... Was directed by Kazuhisa Takenouchi and designed by Leiji Matsumoto (I love his Galaxy Express series'...))

Arc 1 - Aphrodite Part 2

Alexander awakes yet again... renewed of basic memory and operative language cognitivity.

As the Planet becomes more and more familiar on the surface... the whole understanding of life becomes a bit more challenging when the supposed "canines" within Termigann start to run their own little rampancy among the peaceful background of surrounding native villagers.

It's going to be very tricky just to get to where he needs to go... I guess he really will need to waste more time... unless...
