The mind of an Oddball

Moss Head

Moss Head

Jun 20, 2026

They get into the mall, and at this point, Goose and Lyla have had enough. They shout at the two bickering idiots to knock it off, and Zirc replies: “I'm hungry. Where and what are we gonna eat? And more importantly, who's paying?” Lyla slaps her face and just screams like she burnt her hands cause she literally can't, so she just blurted out: “That's what you should've discussed instead of your stupid bowling bet!!” Zirc and Peony, in unison, scoffed and disregarded the comment. Lyla then tells them that she and Goose are gonna choose, and they chose the food court to make it easy. Zirck nonchalantly agreed and added that since Goose invited him, he’s gotta pay for his food; in return, he will pay for his own bowling session since he suggested it. Goose was fed up and just agreed to his friend's nonsense, and they continued to walk to the food court.

While walking, Goose took the lead, and Zirc complained that they were gonna get lost cause he is a moss head. The two girls didn't get the reference *And I'm not gonna explain it either, you either get it, or you don't*, but Lyla disagreed and mentioned that they have never gotten lost when they go out on dates and stuff. Zirc smiled and asked her: “Have you ever gone on a date to somewhere he wasn't familiar with? Maybe somewhere completely new, just renovated, or even just big like this mall?” Lyla thought long and hard, then shook her head, as all the dates they've been on were planned by Goose, so she couldn't say yes. Goose told Zirc to just shut up and trust him for once, and Zirc reluctantly agreed but also added: “The food court is up and we're going down, just to let you know, oh so gracious leader”. Everyone, including Goose, stopped walking, and Lyla started staring at Goose like a mother looking at a guilty child, but then she also gave the same stare to Zirc. She then continued to scold Zirc on how he should've told them sooner that we were going the wrong direction and even added: “You could've reminded us when we were going horizontally wrong, but you only bring it up, and I never thought I'd say this, when we are VERTICALLY LOST!!” So Zirc took the lead and they arrived without any delay, the only delay was Goose repetitively apologizing to Lyla.

Lyla asked how Zirc knew the directions, and he then said that he had been here on multiple occasions. Lyla then continued by asking Zirc what foods are good at the food court. Zirc then replies by recommending the chicken rice or the hot plate dishes. Peony then jumped in and literally pushed Zirc’s face aside and told Lyla: “Don't listen to this idiot! You can put a shoe on a plate, and he'll say it's delicious.” Goose, feeling guilty but also as someone who knows Zirc well, nods aggressively. She then continues by recommending fried foods, soup noodles, and Western dishes. She then adds that they are good and cheap as well, and looks to Goose which again Goose being a good boy who also knows not to piss Peony off, nods aggressively. Lyla listened to her friend, and her idiotic and directionally challenged boyfriend followed suit. Zirc wasn't furious or anything since he knows everyone's opinion is valid except for Peony's, and even said it out loud. *This is me shaking my head aggressively, Zirc WHY?!*. Peony just looked at him, and Zirc understood it just meant “you're dead!” but he was used to it already and just walked away. They chose a table and placed their belongings. Zirc offered to take their orders and go to the respective stalls, but asked that his wallet *A.K.A, His best friend* follows him. The girls got some noodles and boba tea while the boys got some chicken rice and bottled water. *Man, why do girls like tea so much? Before you call me sexist or say stuff like “men like tea too” in a mocking baby voice that sounds like Dobby and a dead cat, when I say like, I mean obsessed OK*.
