Back at Lyla's house, she reveals to Peony that she got the promotion that she applied for, but it's overseas. The job is in the next country over, and she'll only be able to come back on weekends. Even though they do usually only spend their weekends together, Lyla mentions that she is worried that she might have to move away. The office she has to go to every day is a two-hour drive, and the company will provide accommodations, but if she accepts, she is worried that her relationship with Goose might be affected, as they have only been together for eight months. She also values her time with Peony and doesn't want to part with her, as she sees her every night. Peony is studying, so she has plenty of free time; hence, she goes to Lyla for advice since Lyla is brilliant and graduated early. Additionally, she is, *although she won't admit it*, older than Peony by a year. Peony goes to her house almost every night to *not really* study. *They just end up having a yap sesh, but Lyla does knock her with knowledge when her grades drop, which is almost never.* Lyla asks Peony if she should accept it. Peony's reply was simple: “I want what's best for you, but as you know, I'm not working and never have, but you have. Even if you don't admit to it, you have waaaaa~y more experience than me in the corporate world, so you gotta think about it. When you do, promise me you will tell me before Goose, and if I find out from Zirc, cause I know Goose will tell him, then let's just say when you move or not, I will find you”. Lyla looked at Peony with teary eyes and nodded, then she laughed at her final comment. They both got emotional and cried, laughed, and cried some more while hugging.
Once they had calmed down, Lyla asked: “Did you like the keychain? I saw you smile from a mile away, you were glowing!!” Peony went from teary to bright red. Peony shouted: “YOU KNEW ABOUT IT!! ZIRC I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!” Lyla laughed and told her that as much as she would enjoy the show, Zirc was innocent. Lyla continued: “He dropped his receipt after paying for his pens and left the store. I chased him to give it to him, but I knew he would just throw it away cause, I mean, look at the man's room, it's filled with receipts in the trash, and actual trash was under his bed. Speaking of which, I found this in his room. Care to explain, Rose?” Rose was the name of the character on Peony's keychain and of the book “The Girl Who Suffered A Flowery Path”. Lyla then brought out a ticket for two of the movie adaptation of the book. Peony saw it and panicked. She turned red again and started getting angry, excited, and bashful, and started going off at her, but instead of Cerberus, she was a puppy that just learned how to bark and hadn't grown her teeth yet. She started saying that they watched it together cause they liked the book and a million other reasons, but then she stopped and shouted: “ EVEN IF WE ARE GOING OUT, WHY SHOULD I TELL YOU!! I KNEW YOU WERE TRYING TO SET US UP FROM THE START!! I WOULD AND WILL NEVER GIVE YOU THAT SATISFACTION!!”. Once she calmed down, she closed her mouth and, like a proud villainess who has succeeded in her evil scheme, she asked: “Soooo~ you're going out? Is that true?” Peony admitted defeat; with her mouth still clasped by both of her hands, she nodded.
The adventures of four oddballs, laugh, cry, and curse them for their stupidity. They go out and have fun on weekends on mundane activities, but they make it fun by placing their own stupid twists. They do all the things we want to but couldn't because of social cues. Hope you like it!!
