In the school's core room, a familiar scene took place. 

A burning armored figure was lifting his fist to the sky. 

[I...did it, but]

[I guess...this is it?]

[Yes]

[Man...I honestly wanted to do more], He smiled.

Luca faced the dragon

[Dragon king...did I...Live right?]

[What do you think?]

[Well, I had a lot of fun honestly]

[Did you ever regret taking this contract, Luca?]

For a moment, Luca smiled, looking down at his palm

[Of course not]

[Hmm?]

[I should have died back then, in the cave, alone, yet you gave me the chance to live more than I should, so-], he said as he bowed his head

[Thank you dragon king, I am grateful you gave me more time with them]

Silence filled his head. 

[Don't look so down yet, Luca]

[Huh?]

[There are people waiting for you, can't you see them?]

He looked at the three figures in front of him. 

They looked at him with tears in their eyes. 

[But...the contrac-]

[I will share you parts of my life...do what you want with it]

[Wait...but-]

[Don't reject it...Luca]

Luca smirked.

[Fine, thank you, dragon king]

He then fell to the ground. 

His body exhausted. 

All he needed was...some rest.

One week after the conflict, 

The academy had decided to finally add a defense system of some sort to the core itself.

Vale's lost magic influence had disappeared with a slight headache as a side effect. In addition, the authorities had decided to visit the school for Vale's apparent death.

For the students involved in the incident, the three delinquents would be given detention, but their actions would be pardoned by the principle with the reason of "They did it for a friend" 

The other students felt an array of emotions, some grieved, some were angry, some decided to take a break. Some, however, like Madeline, Marie, and Via, continued going to school as normal, well...more or less. 

For Luca however....

In the Infirmary... 

"Uggh...what day is it today"

[How long was I out?]

He looked around the white room. 

It was quiet, as usual. 

He then looked down and noticed his right arm was covered with bandages.

[What the hec-OWWWWWW]

He said as he felt a burning pain on his right arm.

[Did you forget you used my magic, human?]

[I DIDN'T EXPECT YOU TO BURN MY WHOLE RIGHT ARM!]

He tried to make a fist, but...to no avail. 

He sighed.

[Seriously, I thought I would have died]

[You would have]

[But thanks to you I didn't, right?] 

[...]

[So...what now?] 

He then noticed slices of apples on the table beside his bed. 

[Did those idiots give me this-]

He then noticed a note.

One note read, "Get well soon bro, We'll get you out of there, just call us"

[Those idiots...] 

He then also noticed several letters. 

[Huh...who would send me letters?] 

He then picked one letter, it was from Madeline.

[Huh...didn't expect that] 

He ripped open the letter and pulled out a paper. 

[She typically would just talk to me in person, but...I guess class is still ongoing]

He read the letter

"When you've healed up, can you train again with me? thanks", the letter said. 

[Huh, that's weird, I didn't think she would just invite me, but sure I guess] 

He folded the paper and put it back. 

He then opened another one.

[Huh...Marie? Never expect her to be the type to send letters] 

"Meet me after school after you've healed up, Let's study" 

He smiled.

[Well, Sure I guess, I need a way to learn more spells honestly] 

He put the paper back and opened the last letter.

[Via? Well, let's see what she has to say] 

"I am sorry Luca...Let's meet up again...okay?

Silence filled the room.

[What's she's sorry for?]

[What do you think?]

[I mean...Vale was the one who did the memory mumbo jumbo right? it's nobody's fault, right?]

[Sigh...you really are...an amusing human]

[What's that suppose to-]

Suddenly the infirmary door opened.

"Are you the student named "Luca" "

"Umm...yes"

[What's with these guys...]

"We're from the magical enforcers, the authority of this kingdom" 

[Oh no]

His eyes widened. 

His heartbeat hastened. 

[Calm down]

[THEY ARE INFORCERS ! WHAT DO YOU MEAN CALM DOWN?!] 

He gulped.

'Wh...what can I do...for you, officers?", he asked as he struggled to form a smile.

[Please for god sake don't-]

"We just have several questions for you regarding the incident a week ago"

[I KNEW ITTTT]
