Several more days later…

Luca was walking in the school halls.

[Hmm, everything seems normal…but…

He could hear the murmurs around.

He could feel the stares.

“Hey, Isn’t that, dragon boy?”

“The one who fought with Marie right? He looks so cool” 

“Yeah, he also saved the school from Vale” 

A slight flush could be seen on his face.

Every time He tried to look at them, they avert their gaze.

He looked down, however his confused look couldn’t be ignored.

A slight pout could be seen on his face.

[Why is everyone acting so weird?]

More murmurs could be heard. 

“Vale really did had us, I thought he was my friend not gonna lie”

[Yeah…same]

“Well glad he’s gone. Did you know, even his parents were confused when asked who Vale was”

[What?]

“Yeah, I heard even his brother was surprised he had a little brother” 

“Well, thank god he’s gone”

Luca sighed.

[Hmm?]

Luca had a confused look.

[What does that mean?]

He then arrived. 

Class 1-B.

[Well, I am here…again]

[Indeed you are] 

He stopped at the door. 

He reached towards the handle, yet he stopped.

He could hear familiar voices, even if he didn’t know who they were from.

He took a breath.

[Let’s…go] 

He opened the door, seeing familiar faces…but something was odd.

Marie was busy reading her book as usual. 

Madeline was looking at the window as usual as well. 

However, the voices disappeared. 

[Okay…this…is new…but maybe because I haven’t been to class long]

He noticed some averting their gaze, but some were sometimes looking at him. 

[...Why is everyone acting so weird]

He also noticed one who looked at him with a really…odd expression.

[Why does he…look angry?] 

As he reached Marie’s table, he called “Morning, Marie”

She covered her face with the book and said, “Morning…Luca”

His eyes widened.

His confusion spread more on his face. 

He then proceeded to walk to his seat.

“Morning, Madeline”

“Yeah…morning Luca”, she said but still looking at the window. 

[Dragon king]

[Yes?]

[IS SOMETHING HAPPENING AGAIN? MAYBE ANOTHER LOST MAGIC USER? WHAT IF VALE IS-]

[Calm down]

[But…these guys are acting SUPER WEIRD] 

[Well, they just lost someone]

The lightbulb in his head finally shined

[Oh yeah, Vale is not here]

He said as he looked towards the empty seat.

[I guess that’s why that one guy looked angry at me, he probably hates me for killing his friend]

[...wow]

[What?]

[Nothing just…wow] 

Luca sighed. 

Miss Grealina then came in.

She then slammed the table as per usual.

“Okay you lots, class is starting”, she said as she took a glance at me.

[Huh….that’s not her usual stare, normally she glares and try to intimidate me]

Luca then opened his notebook. 

[Well…I guess things should be fine, right?]
