Afterschool, on the rooftop,
A girl was standing on the railings, looking in the setting sun.
Her hair was being blown by the soft breeze.
Her gaze was unwavering, yet it looked odd.
Those eyes showed an emotion she had never felt before.
Conversations with him were something she missed, yet her hand shook every time she looked at him.
Suddenly, the door opened, the one she had feared had come.
“Hey…Via”, he said as he was catching his breath.
She glanced for a moment.
“Why are you here?”
“Huh? Because I saw you here”
He then approached her and leaned on the railing too.
He looked at her.
“You never come at this time”
“I just wanted to be here”
“Well, that’s nice”
Silence then filled the roof, only the sound of the wind could be heard.
“Hey, Via, are you…okay?”
“Hmm?”
“It’s just, yesterday you looked…scared you know, is something bothering you?”, He asked.
She looked down, covering her face.
[I guess she can’t say-]
“...Luca”
“Yeah?”
“Aren’t you angry?”
“What? Why should I?”
“I…tried to stop you…you could have diied…and…I-”
Tears started welling up in her eyes.
They dropped on the ground.
“I mean…why should I be mad? Vale did that memory erasing thing right?”
She then looked at him, with her teary eyes.
His eyes widened.
“Hey, hey are you really okay? why are you crying?”, he said as he started panicking slightly.
She then leaned on his chest and started punching.
“Hey that-”
“You almost died! Why didn’t you stop? Why did you…why didn’t you just…”
Silence then filled the roof yet again, but the boy would eventually answer, “Well, because I felt like I had to…i guess”
She looked at him with teary eyes.
She covered her face again, leaning against him.
“Promise me”
“Huh?”
“We’re friends right? Promise you’ll never do that again!”
“Huh? okay, I mean I don’t want to if possible”, he said as he scratched the back of his head.
A small smile appeared on her face filled with sadness.
