While the fighting is occurring, General Fatalis prepares to execute Sierra, Xel, and the Piranha squad. Suddenly, an explosion followed by the sound of blaster fire can be heard from inside the base.

“What the hell is going on out there?” Asks General Fatalis.

“I don’t know sir. It could be the Republic.” Says a timid Federation soldier.

“Damn it! How the hell did they find us?! No matter. We’ll deal with them first.” Says Fatalis.

Suddenly, the door opens and strange looking Utahraptor unit’s pounces on the Federation troops. General Fatalis guns down some of the raptors with his soldiers but the raptors kept on coming. Sierra and Xel use this as an opportunity to escape with the blueprint and the Piranha squad. The Piranha squad provide cover fire as some the raptors give chase. During the chase, Sierra is decked in face and loses the blueprint. Sierra draws her energy blade and sees who it was that attacked her.

“I must thank you. Had it not been for you and your lackeys, I would not have been able to get my hands on this particle cannon.” Says Ragnar, notable commander of the criminal organization known as Ragnarök.

“A particle cannon?! Why the hell would lowlife criminals want such a devastating weapon?!” Says Sierra with rage in her voice.

“How else will we restore mankind to its former glory? Even the President of Earth knows this. Not like a little fish like you would understand.” Says Ragnar.

Sierra immediately rushes Ragnar and swings at him with her energy blade. Ragnar barely dodges the attack but not without receiving a nasty cut on his right eye. This enrages Ragnar enough to where he draws out his own energy blade. Before he could strike back, he gets a call from King Drasil himself.

“Quit fooling around Ragnar! It is imperative that you return with the particle cannon blueprints! These inferior beings will get what coming to them in due time.” Commands King Drasil.

“Well consider this your lucky day. As much as I would love to kill you here and now, orders are orders. But don’t worry, when mankind is back on top, I’m going to enjoy killing slaughtering your kind to extinction.” Says Ragnar before throwing a flash bang.

The flash of light stuns Sierra, Xel, and the piranha squad long enough for Ragnar to escape the base. Upon regaining their composure, they find Ragnar gone and Fatalis running towards them alongside some raptors. Sierra, Xel, and the piranha squad book it out of the base and see the utter chaos that was the ongoing fighting. They try to sneak past the fighting as quickly as possible, knowing that Fatalis was still behind them. Suddenly, one of the piranha squad members is shot in the leg. Sierra tries to rescue them only for another piranha squad member to tell her to leave with everyone else. Sierra begrudgingly abridges and leaves with Xel and the rest of the piranha squad. The two that stayed begun to open fire at Fatalis and the raptors in the hopes of buying enough time for everyone to escape.

Sierra, Xel, and the remaining piranha squad members cut through the jungle in the darkness of night searching for the humpback. Xel looks behind to check if they were still being followed by either Fatalis or those raptors that belonged to Ragnarök. For the time being, it looks as though Fatalis and the raptors have stopped chasing them. Soon enough, Sierra, Xel, and the piranha squad manage to find the humpback and rush inside the massive metal cetacean. The humpback then takes off with great haste. While on the ship, Sierra, haunted by what had happened, silently returns to her room. Xel, sensing something is wrong, follows Sierra to check on her. It quickly dawns on both Captain Farron and the crew that not only did they fail to get the blueprints but of the ten members of piranha squad, only four made it back.

“Sierra. You in there?” Asks Xel, knock the door to Sierra’s room.

Sensing that the situation is worse than they thought, Xel opens the door and finds Sierra mentally shut down due to the mission they just. Sensing Sierra’s current condition, Xel sits beside Sierra on her bed.

“Is this what it means to be part of a crew? Being responsible for what happens to us on a daily basis?” Asks Sierra with sorrow in her voice.

“Sierra. We all knew the risks with this mission. They knew that too. The piranha squad was trained to tackle missions like this.” Says Xel.

“And I got six of them killed! Six people died Xel! I’m responsible for that!” Says Sierra.

“No, you’re not! None of us could have predicted Ragnarok would be there. Hell, we didn’t even know we were being followed until they were right on top of us. All we can do now is keep moving forward for their sake. Otherwise, what we did would’ve been for nothing.” Says Xel.

Sierra rushes towards Xel and hugs them tight enough to break a human spine. All Xel could do was hug Sierra in return.

“Thank you, Xel.” Says Sierra.

“Don’t mention it little guppy.” Says Xel.

Meanwhile, Fatalis looks at the damage with rage and frustration. As mixture of dead troops and destroyed machinery litter the surround. As Fatalis is about to report this to the Emperor, he spots something off the corner of his eye. He sees the humpback take off and exit the atmosphere. Fatalis enters the Dunkleosteus alongside some leftover troops and follows the humpback.

“Like hell I’m going to let some punks get away with this. We’ll destroy that ship and bring back an excellent trophy for the Emperor. Looks like we’re going whaling boys!” Says Fatalis, his troops cheering him on.

The Dunkleosteus takes off in pursuit of the humpback with one goal in mind, payback. Little do they know, a familiar looking starfighter follows the Dunkleosteus in hopes of intercepting their plans.
