The story starts, from a family in Trinia. It starts from a boy so frail and weak, even Giftless despite being born from two of the currently strong parents at the time. A half noble-hybrid boy.
…
Slap.
" Why are you so weak? Where did all my Talent and powers go! Maru!? " said a mother with dark blue hair and two blue eyes, slapping her son with dark brown hair, with a distinguishable 'ahoge' (a rebellious single strand of hair), a trait he inherited from his father as well as his heterochromic eyes, one yellow right eye, one blue left eye.
" I've spent nine months bearing you, I thought marrying your father would give me a powerful son!? For me, for the Fubuki Family! " the mother tells her son that.

" Sorry…, Mother… " the boy says while shivering as he puts his hand towards a testing machine, a machine that tests the power of those who have Gifts, a power from the Divine that resides inside all Mortals.
But not for Maru, even if his mother was Gifted with a powerful Gift Power, 'White Blizzard', a powerful Enchanter Gift able to create Blizzards that could wipe out many enemies, he didn't inherit anything, just a Giftless boy with a frail body.
" You half-blood weakling, how could you be this weak!? " she continues, slapping frantically.
" If you're like this, where would I put my face in front of the other Blue Blood Clan Families, where!? " the mother sobs a bit while being angry, for the status of her entire family in the Blue Blood Clan, the chain of elite bloodline on the earth born with blue blood, is not that prominent.
" Oh, I am doomed, the Blue Blood Clan will mock me!
They already mocked the Fubuki enough since we rarely have Male Heirs, mocking us that our family is getting closer to extinction, finally diluted to the 'Red Blood Commoners'!
Curses, even with my husband's 'inhuman' genes, I still failed to produce a powerful child! "
" Mom, I'm… "
" Stop it! I'm not giving up, I'm going to ask as many gods as I'm allowed to speak with my almost-impure Blue Blood! "
…
Lady Fubuki, Maru's mother, used her Blue Blood privilege to ask as many gods as would accept her. For in this world, gods still interacted with humans in seemingly modern times, for they are the source of the 'Gift Powers' that every Mortal has, particularly those with the Blue Blood, those whose blood is colored Blue thanks to the 'Blue Blood Ancestor' who became the first of the gods' Gifted Mortal.
…
" I'm sorry, child of the Fubuki… " said some gods. This is what they always say after they try to check on Maru, trying to give him a part of their power, manifested as a 'Gift Core'.
" The child's body rejects the very power we gave him…
The child is not only Giftless, but his very existence simply 'rejects' our power… " said the gods, which in turn makes Lady Fubuki cover her face in shame and desperation.
" Ah, my mother, this daughter failed you, I should've thought again before marrying… " said Lady Fubuki while little Maru, who was silent, could only cry and look at the gods who can't give him anything.
"( So much for your Divine Power…, gods…
How is this possible? How could it be? )" Maru could only ask himself in sorrow as he silenced himself.
His mother could freeze an army with her blizzard. His father carelessly broke thousands barehanded before breakfast.
So when their son was born without a single drop of power between them passed down to him — no Gift, no Aura, not even a god willing to claim him — the world called it impossible.
His mother called it a disgrace.
Mark "Maru" Kent was a five-year-old child rejected by every divine power in existence. Too frail to survive on strength alone, too unwanted to stay home, he's sent to the one place where there's the only hope he could become stronger — the hidden Realm of Murim, where fists are forged, not gifted.
"I want my son to become strong, no matter what." -- Maru's father.
This is the origin of the man the heavens forgot to bless — and the one thing in this universe that power itself couldn't buy.
