( Note: This story happened because I, the Author, like to read Murim Manhwa. So basically this story might refer to it a lot.

[ Trinia, Greed Central, 2018 ]

The story starts with a granddaughter, playing in the house yard, a little girl with long brown hair, seemingly snowy skin, with a distinguishable 'ahoge' (a rebellious single strand of hair), she had heterochromic eyes, one yellow-green right eye and one blue left eye. Wearing a yellow shirt and white pants.

She was accompanied by her grandfather, a tall bulky old man, with full long white-silver hair along with his distinguishable 'ahoge', heterochromic eyes, one yellow-green right eye and one blue left eye. Yes, most of his granddaughter's traits come from him.

( The Grandfather reads the news in the yard's chair, while his granddaughter trains some punching technique against a training dummy at long distance. )

" HYAT, HYAT! " The granddaughter pouts, after doing some punching yet she saw no wave in the air, nor even the dummy getting damaged.

" GRANDPA! You lied! "

You said if I trained my fist, I could create waves in the air!? " said the granddaughter after seeing no result of that training.

" Hey, don't blame me! " the grandfather replied.

" I said train it a thousand times for ten years or something, perhaps the air will bend as your fists strike. " said the grandfather as the granddaughter gets annoyed, still putting on a pouting face as she then prepares her fist, but this time, she decides to cheat. Using the power of her Gift Powers.

Gift Powers is powers gifted by the gods to mortals from the moment they are born. Yes, there are gods in this world, governing the Earth from their pantheons above the clouds. The gods give the mortals Gift Powers, in the shape of 'Gift Cores' within their body. Usually, the Core is magically placed in front of their hearts, giving them powers to enable them to defend themselves from monsters, demons who come out from the Gate Portals, even other humans whom the gods share their powers with as well. 

The Gift Powers are separated into five talents. Evocator, Enchanter, Enhancer, Expulsor, and Exalter. Usually one of the five talents will be identified once the humans instinctively tell in their mind the very name and identity of their Gift Powers. Such as this granddaughter here.

[ Gift Power: *** Blizzard (Enchanter) ]

As she did this, she then used her Gift to imbue her fist with strong Blizzard current and punch it towards the dummy's direction, finally breaking some of its wood.

" Grandpa, I did it! " she shouts trying to make her grandfather stop the training, but…

" No, you're not! How many times I've told you, don't use your Gift Powers! " said the grandfather as he then lowered his newspaper, stood up from his chair and quickly punched the dummy from his position, quickly destroying it.

" This is called 'Aura Fist Force', a skill you can only obtain when you finally form your 'Aura Core', the 'Dantian'. " said the grandfather, mentioning 'Aura Core' (Dantian in ancient times), it's basically a core within a human body, allowing them to generate Aura or Inner Energy, or by the ancients, called 'Qi/Ki'.

" Even if you try proving to me you could do it, without forming an Aura Core you could never do it. 

Unleash you have the base physical strength that allows you to create shockwaves whenever you punch, or clap, like that Green Giant Hero. " the grandfather mentions the Incredible Hulk from Marvel.

" But, Grandpa, I talked to Grandma about this… " said the granddaughter.

" She said learning to form Aura Core might take years, even if it succeeds, the ability given by the Core would most likely be weaker than the ones of the Gift Cores. " said the granddaughter, she was quite right in that statement, why would she learn forming Aura Core if in this current world, the Gift Core powers are more advanced and variative than that of the Aura Core, even though both are still divided into five talents.

" The Gift Core power is not 'your' power, it's from the gods! 

You can use it and train it as many times as you want, but that's not your seed to be sown, it's theirs! 

Aura Core however, is the very seed of power generated independently by your own body. 

Yes, it might be weaker and not as impressive as the Gift Core powers, but if you train it enough, you could at least do Martial Arts, giving you an edge against those 'entitled' Gift Core Users. 

Like Grandpa, even though I had a Gift Core, I still rely on Martial Arts because it made me more prepared rather than relying on the gods' debt. " said the grandfather, who made his granddaughter pout.

" Grandpa, did you just…say bad things to the gods? " the granddaughter asks, staring.

" No… " the grandpa quickly defended himself.

" Ah, this is useless. How should I tell you why? Why is Aura Core preferable for you… "The grandpa wonders, while tapping and scratching his white, winged beard.

" Mmm? Mmm! " Grandpa remembers something.

" Perhaps this would make you interested, granddaughter. Do you want to hear a story? " said the grandfather.
