I'm from Colombia, and here in my city, there's a bread called 'pan de piña' (pineapple bread) or 'pan de pera' (pear bread). The funny thing is, it has absolutely nothing to do with pineapples or pears! It's simply a sweet bread topped with sugar and filled with guava paste.
