Q: Are there any rules that you are following
About the songs you pick?
A: The songs are from
The perspectives of the characters,
So I try for gender-neutral framing (try!)
And the right time period.
Language-wise, I'd like them
To follow the story's overall age rating :)
But there's not too many rules,
And I also bend them sometimes.
Q: How do you find songs to feature?
A: Through the dedicated efforts
And unsung heroism of the K-pop fan community.
The spirit of sharing and building collective knowledge
Lives on! It reminds you that the Internet
Can still be a positive force.

Q: Were there any songs that
You knew you wanted to feature
Even before you started?
A: Surprisingly, every song on the soundtrack
Was new to me at the time of its choosing.
(I cannot emphasize enough that
I was really limited before all this.)
Q: What new artists have you discovered?
A: There are so many.
But, I do want to mention B1A4.
There is a B1A4 song coming up, but that's just a drop in the bucket.
There are a truly surprising group that makes you want to listen
To every album in their back catalogue.
Q: Did you arrive at some higher understanding
Of K-pop after this journey?
A: Unfortunately, no. (LOL)
I don't think it's possible for me to understand it.
It will continue to go forward into the future,
While I stay behind.
Speaking more generally,
The idol worship train is one that
Everyone has to get off eventually.
But it's been an education to be
On the train for a while!
