Bound To Him

Stayed

Stayed

Jul 28, 2026

Dominic didn’t say anything else. He simply turned and walked toward the private lounge. I followed without being asked. My feet moved before my mind could catch up, falling into step just behind him. The crowd parted around us the way it always did. No one looked at me. They only saw him. The heavy door clicked shut behind us, sealing the noise of the club outside. The same warm amber lighting. The same leather armchairs. The same quiet that felt like it belonged only to him.

“Sit,” he said.

I sat. My body obeyed instantly, sinking into the familiar chair. My breathing had already changed. He hadn’t even touched me yet.

Dominic remained standing for a moment, studying me with that unnerving calm. Then he lowered himself into the opposite chair, legs spread, completely at ease. His grey eyes never left my face.

“You wanted this to stop,” he said quietly.

The words weren’t angry. They weren’t even surprised. Just a statement of fact. Like he had watched the entire thing happen.

I swallowed hard. “I… tried.”

“You’re trembling,” he observed quietly.

I hadn’t noticed. He leaned forward slightly, elbows resting on his knees, and looked at me with that unnerving calm.

“Tell me what you’re afraid of.”

The question was soft, but it demanded truth. I looked down at my hands, fingers twisting together in my lap.

“I’m afraid of how much I want this,” I whispered. “Of how quiet everything becomes when I’m here. I told myself I came for the peace of mind… but I think I came for you.”

Silence stretched between us. Dominic was silent for a long moment. “You don’t like needing anyone,” he said. It wasn’t a question.

I didn’t answer. I couldn’t. He watched me for another beat, then spoke again, voice low and even.

“Then leave.”

The words hit me like cold water. I stared at him. The door was right behind me, unlocked and unblocked. He wasn’t moving. He wasn’t stopping me. He was giving me the choice. My legs felt weak as I stood. I took one step toward the door and another. My hand reached for the handle. The metal was cool beneath my palm. I could feel my pulse beating hard in my fingertips, frantic and alive.

Go. Just open the door. Walk out. Go home to your parents. To your books. To the life you’re supposed to have.

I imagined it so clearly. Dad’s warm smile when I walked through the door. Mom asking if I wanted tea. My room with its familiar posters and textbooks. The safety of being the good daughter again. The freedom of never having to explain any of this.

My fingers tightened on the handle. But my fingers wouldn’t turn it. The longer I stood there, the heavier my body felt. My knees trembled. My chest ached with the effort of resisting the pull behind me, the quiet in this room. The way the world stopped screaming when I was near him.

I didn’t want to go. I didn’t want the freedom. I wanted this. The realization crashed over me, terrifying and absolute. Tears pricked at my eyes. I pressed my forehead against the cool wood of the door for a second, breathing shakily.

“I don’t want to go,” I whispered. The words felt like surrender.

Dominic’s voice came from behind me, calm and certain. “No. You don’t.”

The admission hung in the air between us. I turned slowly to face him again. His grey eyes were dark, unreadable, but there was something deeper in them now. A quiet satisfaction. A claim that made my stomach tighten.

Before either of us could speak again, a firm knock sounded on the door. Dominic’s expression changed instantly. It became colder, sharper. The softness I had glimpsed disappeared.

“Come in.”

A man I recognized from a picture of Dominic I saw online entered. The scar on his jaw gave it away. His broad frame filled the doorway. His sharp blue eyes flicked to me for a brief second, assessing and distrustful, before returning to Dominic.

“We have a situation,” he said, voice low.

Dominic didn’t move at first. Then he stood with fluid grace.

“Wait here,” he told me.

It wasn’t a request. He walked out with the scarred man, the door clicking shut behind them. I was alone in his private lounge. The silence pressed in. I sat back down, hands clasped tightly in my lap. My eyes moved slowly over the room, the untouched crystal glass of whiskey on the side table, the perfectly arranged chairs, the immaculate order of everything. There was no softness here, no warmth, and yet I felt safer in this room than I had anywhere else in days.

I pressed my fingers against the bracelet, feeling its familiar weight. I listened for his footsteps long after they had disappeared down the hallway. The quiet felt different now. It was not just calm, but expectant. I wasn’t just here because he wanted me here. I was here because I wanted to stay.

The silence in the private lounge felt different now. At first, it had been comforting. I was breathing slowly, touching the bracelet under my sleeve like a talisman. I told myself I was calm, that this was enough, the quiet was what I had come for. But the longer I sat alone, the more the silence began to shift. It grew too big and too empty. My eyes kept drifting to the door. Every muffled sound from the hallway made my head lift. I listened for footsteps, for his voice, for any sign that he was coming back.

The room was still quiet. So why was my mind getting louder again? It wasn’t the room. It was him. It settled over me like cold water. The quiet wasn’t in the walls, the lighting, or the heavy door. It was in him. Without Dominic here, the calm I had clung and associated with this room started slipping away, leaving me exposed and restless once more.

I stood up slowly, unable to stay still. My feet carried me toward the door. I stopped short of it, my heart pounding. My hand hovered near the handle. I leaned closer, straining to hear, but only muted voices filtered through the thick wood.

“…reckless.” The other man’s voice, low and tense.

Dominic’s reply was calm, almost indifferent. “No.”

“You’re allowing a weakness.”

A long pause.

“She stays.”

Those two words hit me harder than they should have. Relief and shame crashed through me at the same time. He was defending my presence here, to the man who clearly saw me as a threat. I pressed my forehead lightly against the cool wood, breathing shakily. The voices stopped, and I stepped back quickly, but it was too late. The door opened, and Dominic stepped inside. He found me standing too close to the entrance, hand still slightly raised, caught in the act of listening. His grey eyes moved over me slowly, taking in my flushed cheeks and guilty posture.

“You heard,” he said.

I couldn’t deny it. My throat felt tight. He closed the door behind him and walked closer, stopping just a few steps away. His presence filled the room again, heavy and undeniable.

I looked down at my hands, then back up at him. My voice came out small and trembling. “The room wasn’t enough.”

The admission felt devastating and raw. Like I had handed him another piece of myself. Dominic studied me for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then he stepped fully into my space, close enough that I could smell the faint trace of whiskey and smoke on his clothes. He leaned down, so he was next to my ear.

“No,” he said quietly, voice low and certain. “It won’t be.”

My breath caught because he understood. The room, the bracelet, and the quiet weren’t enough anymore. Somehow, impossibly, terrifyingly, he was.

What begins as curiosity becomes something far more dangerous.

Dominic Morozov is no ordinary man. He is the Pakhan, cold, ruthless, and untouchable, the leader of a powerful Bratva empire. When he sets his sights on the innocent daughter of the detective trying to destroy him, he doesn’t just want her body. He wants her complete surrender. Her mind. Her trust. Her soul.

As Jasmine sinks deeper into his carefully woven web of gentle commands, quiet praise, and possessive control, she discovers a terrifying truth: she has never felt more seen, more safe, or more alive than when she is on her knees for him.

But every "Good girl" comes with a price. Her father is closing in. Her friends are worried. And the man who owns her nights is hiding a monster behind the velvet touch.

How far will she fall before she realizes she’s already bound to him, heart, body, and forever?
