"( Main Ancestor, perhaps the one Mother called 'Blue Immortal'? )" Maru remembered, recounting how his mother praised the 'Blue Immortal', believing him a legendary long-living figure, hidden from mere mortal realms.
"( I wonder where he could be… )" Maru tells while Mr. Kent talks.
" Before that, people were all Red Bloods and used Aura Core as their primary source of power, that's until the Blue Immortal introduced Gift Cores, as his 'descendants' slowly inherited it and somehow their Blood turned Blue… " Mr. Kent explains.
" The thing is, even if the Blue Blood Clan worships the usage of the Gift Cores, some families still develop Aura Cores as well, maintaining their Main Ancestor's tradition from the Martial Era, the era of Martial Arts and Cultivation, still in its peak.
Speaking of 'peak', that's why the mountainous region in Trinia is called the 'Envy Peaks'.
For the people are those who still maintain the Martial Arts way, also Giftless, thus they envy those who have Gift Cores, while remembering how much better it would be if Martial Arts were back at its peak once more.
That is what I know; you'll know when we get there, son. " Mr. Kent ends it.
" I see, so that's Envy Peaks, Father… " said little Maru.
" Will you tell me more about the 'Realm of Murim' as well? " he asks. Mr. Kent then grabs his bag, opens it, and brings out a book, a big book.
" I believe I already trained you to read and count even when you were three. After your fourth birthday, I decided to speed things up, making you learn multiplication and division, drawing you the table for you to remember and try to do it yourself, as well as giving you books, basic knowledge regarding the country. " Mr. Kent says while Maru nods, he remembers Mr. Kent's strict parenting in his early years, even if his eyes looked tired, Mr. Kent, and even Lady Fubuki, insist on him continuing to learn day and night.
"( I still remember that…, even that is not enough, Mother and Father immediately sent me to Kumon. )" Maru remembers. Kumon is a learning center in Trinia. The center teaches Maru maths and reading, giving him a great foundation for whatever Elite early learning that his parents will prepare him for in the future.
" Hold and read this, I have already made sure to simplify things for you. " said Mr. Kent, giving it to Maru.

" I will read it, Father… " Maru tells his dad.
" Do it later, for now. Go to sleep after you eat. We still have nine stations to go. "
" Will I get fat, father? "
" Please, I need you to be fat before the training, sleep! " Mr. Kent says that Maru is as skinny as he is frail.
His mother could freeze an army with her blizzard. His father carelessly broke thousands barehanded before breakfast.
So when their son was born without a single drop of power between them passed down to him — no Gift, no Aura, not even a god willing to claim him — the world called it impossible.
His mother called it a disgrace.
Mark "Maru" Kent was a five-year-old child rejected by every divine power in existence. Too frail to survive on strength alone, too unwanted to stay home, he's sent to the one place where there's the only hope he could become stronger — the hidden Realm of Murim, where fists are forged, not gifted.
"I want my son to become strong, no matter what." -- Maru's father.
This is the origin of the man the heavens forgot to bless — and the one thing in this universe that power itself couldn't buy.
