Thus, the father and the boy enter the train, for the train was the fastest transport journey to the west of Trinia. The 'journey to the west' is not referring to a certain ancient Chinese work or series, but it's simply what it is, for Envy Peaks is located in the 'West' of Trinia, despite its primarily 'Eastern (Asian)' Culture.
…
"( Already passed three stops… )" Mr. Kent said.
As Mr. Kent said, there are still nine stops before finally arriving in the Envy Peaks, a place in Western Trinia that could only be reached via train thanks to its dangerous terrain and forests.
As the train continues its journey to the west (not the Novel, this is a fact by the way), Mr. Kent and Maru decide to leave their suite since Maru needs to use the toilet.
Mr. Kent and Maru meet a train staff member, a woman with dark skin and long white hair, along with her long ears.
" Gyah, father, what is that!? " Maru hugs Mr. Kent, seeing the train staff looking weird.
Mr. Kent saw the train staff and looked back at Maru once more.
" This woman is an 'Elf', from 'Alfheim' (realm of the Elves).
This is the person that your mother, Blue Blood mother, sorry, Mrs… (Mr. Kent apologizes), as an alien, just like me. " Mr. Kent tells, which made the train's staff surprised, immediately eyeing Mr. Kent from head to toe, checking Mr. Kent's huge arms, and seemingly inhumane height and body.
( Mr. Kent and the Elven train staff look at each other. )
" Excuse me, sir… " said the Elven train staff in a low tone, while looking around.
" You're not human, sir? " she asks while checking again Mr. Kent's seemingly human complexion.
" Never said I was, never said I am.
But to be exact, I'm a second-generation Hybrid in the family. I assume you just like you, perhaps… " Mr. Kent held his word. He looked at the Train Staff's nametag.
" Melanion Evershade…? Are you from the Sloth Destination Region? " Mr. Kent says it as the train staff, curled her lips upward.
" In Trinia, I'm called Melanie, sir… " Train staff, Melanie says as Mr. Kent asks her where the toilet is, which Melanie points to the corner of the Premium Car.
" The toilet has a sink and closet prepared for the Premiums… enjoy. " Melanie instead guides them as they arrive at the toilet; there are two, one on the left and the other on the right. Mr. Kent still occupies the right one; let Maru have the left first.
" Can I ask you to stay here? " Mr. Kent asks Melanie.
" If I enter the toilet, my son will be alone.
I'll pay you an extra, if your superior asks, tell them it's a Premium VIP Request. " Mr. Kent hands Melanie a check, which Melanie nods as she leaves to report things first before doing what Mr. Kent requests.
( Mr. Kent looks around and brings up his phone from his jacket. )
His mother could freeze an army with her blizzard. His father carelessly broke thousands barehanded before breakfast.
So when their son was born without a single drop of power between them passed down to him — no Gift, no Aura, not even a god willing to claim him — the world called it impossible.
His mother called it a disgrace.
Mark "Maru" Kent was a five-year-old child rejected by every divine power in existence. Too frail to survive on strength alone, too unwanted to stay home, he's sent to the one place where there's the only hope he could become stronger — the hidden Realm of Murim, where fists are forged, not gifted.
"I want my son to become strong, no matter what." -- Maru's father.
This is the origin of the man the heavens forgot to bless — and the one thing in this universe that power itself couldn't buy.
