The group is traversing along the cobblestone path toward the square. Riddik is puzzled, facing Nilin's saddened eyes, "Nil...? What's wrong?" Nilin thinks about his conundrum again but shakes his head to get rid of it. "I just simply ... it's been a very long day..." He leaves it at that.
Back at the blacksmith a couple hundred feet away from the others, Akhmin is looking at tools and weapons. He's browsed quite a few of the works in the shop but one caught his eye at the start. A spear made of darkened metal, adorned with cross-draped threading holding a couple of sharp teeth near the hilt and brindled with the pattern of a meteor. A single, light blue gemstone was faceted on the end with a simple woven talisman in the form of a pointed shell. Aside from its beauty, he held it in his hands. It was pristine craftsmanship, balanced. The shell wasn't a shell at all, rather a gemstone carved into the shape of one with a hollowed middle.
The group walked right up to the shop where Akhmin resided and Achiin's heart raced with excitement. "Oh! Oh so manyyy!!" he almost runs off toward the tools and Akhmin stops him in his tracks. "Finch please don't run around sharp things..." Achiin stands still, his tail fluffed, he looks up at his father and nods calmly. Akhmin is surprised at this. He's grown... but this fast? Riddik walks up to him, stating they actually do need something from here. The blacksmith hears this and speaks to him. Nilin joins them both, taking his bag off his shoulder and putting it on the table.
Alex looks at his palm, he thinks about all the information he gathered yet again. This time he feels... somewhat correct. That feeling from before, their soul feeling like it's ripping from him... it felt more like it was reaching for something. Something far away from his grasp. It's as if he was looking for a part of him in the distance. Maybe there's a chance he could take it back and rebuild that gap. Seff puts his hand on Alex's shoulder. He jumps slightly at the gesture and turns around swiftly, glancing at him. Seff's face grows worried but he speaks anyway. "Uhm... we haven't talked for a bit. I've just been very close to..." he blushes slightly. Alex sees just a bit of warmth in Seff's cheeks. He glances closer at him, curious. "What's wrong with your face?" Seff blushes even more. "Uh--...wait... you're a chiro so...hm. Ok." He discreetly points at Elkhra and explains. "What I have is... 'flika'." Alex tilts his head and looks back at Elk who is looking at the clouds. There's very little, dwindling and airy... without a drop of water. His eyes pierce the sky because of this, angrily. Alex gives Seff an odd look of disdain. He looks back at Seff eagerly awaiting a bit clearer understanding. Seff puffs his cheeks angrily at Alex and crosses his arms. "Well... 'flika' is something you have when you like someone... VERY much. And I... well... I like him." He looks back at Elkhra who is scratching his side, yawning. He sees Seff out of the corner of his eye and Seff returns his gaze back towards Alex swiftly, looking down, doing that same blushing thing again.
Alex is still not sure what any of it means really. He doesn't have much time to worry about trivial things like that at least right now. Although curious, he needs to go up... up to the sky. Despite that, however... he takes the flower out of his pocket. He made sure it was still safe. Some petals still attatch to it, one falling to the ground. His eyes become saddened and his mouth starts trembling on one side. It's as if some emotions still linger. He touches the side of his mouth to stop the movement. Seff looks at Alex's reaction and gets an idea. "Hey... don't be sad we can make it into something that will last! Come with me." He takes Alex's arm and he follows. Elkhra watches them run farther off to a store they sell art and literature supplies. He growls angrily, putting his hands in his pockets as his tail flicks in annoyance...
