[BL] Late Bloomer

3. Alpha Gama

3. Alpha Gama

Jul 21, 2026

"Now let's talk about Alphas. Just like Omegas, there are Recessive Alphas and Dominant Alphas," the teacher explained.

Tera quickly picked up his pen.

There was no way he was going to miss taking notes on this.

"You're taking notes, right? Let me copy them later," Gama whispered.

Tera immediately smacked him on the head.

"Ow, ow, ow..." Gama groaned, rubbing the sore spot.

"A Recessive Alpha is similar to a Recessive Omega. Their natural scent is much fainter. A Recessive Alpha cannot force an Omega into heat, unlike a Dominant Alpha, whose scent and pheromones can be dangerous enough to trigger one."

"However, Recessive Alphas can still be dangerous to Recessive Omegas. If either of you enters rut—or if your Alpha experiences rut—you should avoid inhaling each other's pheromones, especially when both of you are Recessive."

"The aggressive period experienced by Alphas is called rut, so Omegas, be careful during that time."

She looked toward the Alpha students.

"And you Alphas, if you enter rut, stay home."

"What about Enigmas?" Tera asked.

The entire room turned to look at him.

Kai and Sky did the same.

"They don't exist. They're just a myth. Don't bring them up," the teacher replied as she hurried over to Tera and lowered her voice so no one else could hear.

"An Enigma would be a dangerous monster if one ever appeared among us. Dominant Alphas are already troublesome enough because they think they're the strongest. An Enigma would be even worse. Don't ask about them anymore... I'll give you some raspberries later."

"But Enigmas often disguise themselves as Omegas and get Alphas pregnant, right? You're an Alpha, so you're only saying that because you're afraid of the stories about the Enigmas from long ago!"

Tera pointed directly at the teacher.

Yan quickly pulled Tera's arm down.

"Don't point at the teacher."

"He actually knows... and he's asking about it?" Sky chuckled quietly.

"This is exactly why I hate answering Tera's questions," Yan muttered.

A chill ran down his spine.

He still had no idea that Sky himself was an Enigma.

---

The five of them gathered around one table.

Three of them scratched their heads in confusion.

Meanwhile, Sky and Kai simply watched them.

"What was that thing called again? The one that hides our pheromones so we smell like Betas?" Yan asked while looking down at his notes.

"Scent blocker," Sky answered, pointing at Yan's paper.

"What do you call an Alpha and an Omega who are destined for each other?" Gama asked, completely bewildered.

Why was this world so complicated?

"Soulbond," Tera answered hesitantly.

He was right.

"What do you call two people who've already met and are dating but haven't gone through knotting yet?" Tera asked next.

"Pairing. Like you and me," Kai answered.

Tera narrowed his eyes.

"Bleh."

He pretended to throw up.

"When an Alpha or Omega marks someone with their scent, that's called scenting, right?" Tera continued.

'Scenting...'

Gama watched Tera busily memorizing every term.

Scenting was done to let other Alphas know that an Omega was already under someone's protection—or someone's target.

"Yeah," Gama replied.

Someone had already secretly scented his own Omega.

Sky.

Gama had noticed.

He could faintly smell Sky's musky scent lingering on Yan.

"Mate is when someone bites the back of the neck first, right?" Tera asked.

Kai suddenly fell silent.

'Once someone becomes your mate... that Omega can never belong to anyone else.'

"What's wrong?" Tera asked, confused.

"You can't choose two partners. It says here that once you've become mates, your body will reject intimacy with anyone else. If you try, it'll hurt," Kai answered quietly.

Gama had a feeling he knew where this conversation was headed.

Probably toward Tera...

Though none of them even knew whether Tera already had someone.

"Mating means becoming mates," Sky said simply.

"Marking is when you bite the scent gland."

He pointed to the back of his neck.

"Bonding is the emotional union between two people. Once it happens, an Omega may only respond to a single Alpha for the rest of their life. The downside is... if one of them dies first, the other often can't love or marry anyone else because their feelings remain permanently bound."

"What about knotting?" Tera asked as he leaned closer to Sky.

Yan immediately grabbed the back of Tera's shirt to stop him.

Sky leaned toward Tera's ear.

Within seconds, Tera's ears turned bright red.

"What?" Gama asked curiously.

"18+," Tera whispered shyly.

Out of embarrassment, he kicked Gama's leg.

"And finally... Ending Mate."

"We're all born with someone we're destined for. We carry a mark of ownership from birth."

Sky rolled up his sleeve, revealing a lotus-shaped mark on his arm.

"You all have one. Everyone's mark is different. If you ever meet someone with the exact same mark..."

"...that's your destined mate."

"Not everyone loves the person fate chooses for them. Ending Mate is the process of severing your connection with your Soulbond. The pain is unimaginable, and you must quickly find another partner afterward. Otherwise, your body will continue longing for your Soulbond. Without a replacement... it can even lead to death."

Sky finished his explanation.

Then he walked toward Tera.

"Let me make something clear."

"I already have a Soulbond."

"I know exactly who it is."

"You can't get close to me."

He gently pushed Tera backward with one finger.

"You seem to like me, don't you?" Sky asked with a chuckle.

Kai immediately frowned.

He pulled Tera over beside him.

"Who said he was getting close to you?!" Kai snapped.

"And you, kid... stop fooling around," Sky shot back.

"Who said I like you? Stop saying whatever you want! You're way crueler than I thought!" Tera shouted.

"He is cruel. That's why I keep pulling you away from him," Yan whispered, trying to calm Tera down.

"Hey, there's nothing wrong with liking someone."

Gama suddenly stepped between Sky and Tera.

"Oh? I said it that way so he'd learn to be a little more self-aware," Sky replied.

"Sky... could you stop making Omegas cry?" Yan whispered after noticing Tera lowering his head.

"What, are you my—"

Sky stopped mid-sentence.

Suddenly—

His body was lifted off the ground.

His eyes widened in shock.

Tera was carrying him.

Without warning, Tera flipped Sky over his shoulder and threw him onto the floor.

"WWE SmackDown!!" Kai shouted.

Gama swallowed hard.

"He's insane..."

Yan could only stare with his mouth hanging open.

Tera planted one foot on Sky's stomach and proudly flexed his arm muscles.
