An introduction to one of the most favorite characters that I have created.
Meet Noor Ashraqua (she/her, female), a Palestinian fellow classmate of Monsent (he/him, male) and Dansene (she/her, female) at Wesdin Illustrious Illustritute, and their senior (by one grade). Noor is perhaps one of my most favorite characters that I have designed. Noor is just awesome in every way: her clothing, her speech, the way she walks and carries herself through life.
Oh yeah, she also worships a Sun (but that is a story for another time).
Drawing this comic took a long time, as you might guess from its length. But sometimes, the biggest block are mental: given enough dedication, I could perhaps finish this in only two days, but my true difficulty came in designing the parts of Wesdin Illustrious shown, from the elevator shaft to the exterior around the tower to the ads that are shown as easily ignorable as in real life.

Setting: La Resurrección, California, Bayhilliance. "The Sleepless City". A coastal hub of casinos and tech companies. A city stretching stillborn across the Concept of Horizons. This is a story about Monsent and company at Wesdin Illustrious, an esteemed art college, as they go through art college, learning art, the magic of Art, and a little bit about themselves, the powers they are born with, and the earth around them.
This is a story about Moon Weixing and Sandamance, as they prowl through its street at dark, seeking to take out its tyrants and tyrant aspirants, while hoping to dodge an old pursuer for another day.
This is a story of greater events born decades before their history; greater events that now threaten to drown and tear them apart. Greater events from lofty heights, from buried depths, greater events swirling with cosmic worries.
Greater events that will drag Monsent, Moon, and La Resurrección into the center of a maelstrom.
La Resurrección is the "Place where Things Happen". Great and unexpected things are happening its way...
