Gaian Alien Designations

The vast majority of "Aliens" encountered in Orion Travellers will be Gaians, humans or other Earth-originating species so changed by the influences of spacetravel and cultural shift that they'd be barely recognizable as human to modern-day humans. However, for human-derived gaians, there's usually some distant familiarity, such as two eyes and four limbs and a mouth are very commonly retained traits in most Gaians (General rule of thumb, if the alien could reasonably be played by a modern human actor with somewhere between no to heavy use of costuming, prosthetics, and/or latex without needing to rely on puppets or CGI, it's likely a human-descended Gaian.)

It's worth pointing out, diversification is potentially infinite. Gaian species designations are more about identifying what *not* to expect, than what *to* expect, showing where to not expect baseline human standard.

This is setting information for the Orion Travelers universe.
What is the Orion Travelers universe?
It's a permissive open setting that anyone can create in, given that license rules are followed.
It has a feel inspired by such classics such as Star Trek, Babylon 5, The Orville, Red Dwarf, Farscape, etc.
This comic should be seen less a standard comic and more as a master document for all things that take place in the Orion Travelers universe. This will be a source of lore drops for anything that takes place in the setting, the primary document of canon.
The majority of the lore takes place in the Orion Spur, the region of the Milky Way that includes Earth.
Although I wouldn't call it super-hard Science Fiction, it does aim to be a little bit on the harder end than settings like Trek and Babylon 5 with a bit less technobabble. It'll aim to get a lot closer to the various tropes in science fiction but try to have it make a bit more sense, while still leaving room for all the plots people have come to enjoy from their sci-fi.
This "comic" should be read by anyone wanting to make a story in the Orion Travelers universe, or those who just want to get some backround lore on some other comics various authors and artists have created in the setting.
