“Huh? You like me?”, sae-byeok asked. 

“Don’t make me repeat myself. It's kind of embarrassing to admit feelings for someone for the first time”, ying was literally shivering. 

A smile came upon sae-byeok’s face. Seeing that smile ying felt reassured. Both of their faces started moving towards each other and their lips finally touched. That night they both embraced each other.

The next day

It was seven in the morning. Ying and sae-byeok woke up next to each other.

“Good morning.”, sae-byeok greeted ying gently caressing her hair.

“Um good morning.”, ying relied. She was still very shy.

“Ying, should we go on a date today after our classes.”

“That sounds great.”

“Is there any place you wanna go to?”

“Should we go for movies?”, since it was Ying’s first date ever she was clueless.

“Of course, we can also have dinner outside.”

They both went to the uni. Ying saw ji-ah waiting for her along with Noah.

“Ying, you’re practically glowing today. Something good happened?”, ji-ah asked.

“Actually I need to tell you something ji-ah. I am dating sae-byeok.”, ying just said it in one breath.

“Huh!!”, both ji-ah and noah gasped.

“Are you serious?”, ji-ah asked while Noah just stood there shocked.

“Yep I am absolutely serious. So, noah I want you to stop pestering me now.”

“Well if that’s what you want. Now stop glaring at me, I am not someone bad. I’m sorry that I annoyed you yesterday. We can still be friends, right?”, noah actually was genuine.

“Of course, let's stay friends.”

The lecture was over. As soon as the lecturer left ying ran out of the class excited for her date with sae-byeok.

“Bye ji-ah. Bye noah.”

“Have fun!!”

Sae-byeok was already waiting for ying with her car. This time when sae-byeok opened the door for ying she got a smile instead of a side-eye.

They had absolute fun in their date and just like that a few days went by. One night when sae-byeok was out to the mart for some late night ice-cream, Ying got a call from her father’s assistant. Ying reluctantly picked it.

“Hello miss, your father got an heart attack this afternoon and is in critical condition right now. I’m returning to Bangkok in the first flight next morning. You should come too. After all he is your father.”

Ying was never close to her father but this news hit her. She was shocked and scared. She might never have gotten the love and affection but she also never had to sleep on an empty stomach in that house.

She had no answer for the assistant so she just cut the call. Sae-byeok came back and saw that ying was in a bad state.

“What’s wrong, ying?”

“My father’s assistant called. He just my father is really sick and asked me to return with him tomorrow. I don’t know what to do.”

“Do what your heart tells you. Do you want to go?”

“I want to go but I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to return.”

“Its okay I’ll be waiting for you. I believe in you. You will be back, right?”

Ying looked at sae-byeok and said “Yes I will be back. Till then please wait for me.”

“Of course I’ll wait for you.”

Ying packed a few clothes and returned to Thailand with a heavy heart.
