*Note: Apologies for the day late post, but Randy was away for vacation longer than expected. This week, Jason is filling in for the comic post.*
Here we are. The antics we have bore witness to in these opening pages exist only in our main character's head. Our clock nemesis, merely a representation of the clocks that surround Colton day in, day out. They say to never open a story with a dream. We didn't listen. Why? Two reasons: 1. It's a reference to Brazil, a movie that was my biggest influence when creating The Jacket, and 2. Though a dream, it doesn't mean it lacks significance to the events to come. We've seen Colton's fantasy world, now it's time to see his reality.
Also, from here on out: no more dreams. This was the first and last. Promise.

That awkward moment when you realize the thrilling adventures you thought you were experiencing, as your epic persona, were merely a passing daydream. The sad truth is that you're still trapped at that drudging 9 to 5, it's still Monday, & that annoying customer is about to waste your time with another, inane question. XD
1984 meets Watchmen. The world of The Jacket is one where absolutely anybody can be super. All they need is any ordinary looking object that unlocks their true potentials, their true selves. Our story follows Colton Emerson as he finds his, a jacket that gives him abilities that he never knew he possessed. Unfortunately, the government doesn’t take kindly to such people, and his discovery quickly makes him public enemy number one.
