The school Idol is too dense for love

Chapter 13: The Silent Metaphor and the Backdoor Loophole

Chapter 13: The Silent Metaphor and the Backdoor Loophole

Oct 19, 2026

The midday sun streamed through the classroom windows of Shenghua Academy, casting a perfectly cinematic glow over Lu Huawei. She sat gracefully at her desk by the window, her long, vibrant purple hair cascading over her shoulders like silk. Her signature ribbon was perfectly aligned to the millimeter, fluttering slightly in the gentle breeze. She stared out at the clouds with a deep, intensely serious expression, her brilliant ruby eyes narrowed in profound contemplation.
A few meters away, a small crowd of male side characters was huddled near the blackboard, blushing furiously as they watched her every move.
"Look at her..." one boy whispered in absolute, breathless awe. "She’s so beautiful it actually hurts to look."
"She’s definitely formulating a new academic theory," another classmate murmured reverently, clutching his chest. "She has the highest grades in the entire city. With an intense, deep expression like that, her mind must be operating on a level of advanced calculus we can't even comprehend. She’s like a goddess of pure intellect."
In reality, Lu Huawei’s brain was completely empty of advanced calculus. Her mind was operating on a strictly commercial television schedule. She was currently running a massive internal analysis on the midnight drama she had binge-watched the previous evening, titled "Love is a Silent Killer."
Instead of understanding the poetic, romantic metaphor of the title, her dense brain had spent the last forty minutes treating it as a literal public health hazard. 'If love is classified as a silent killer,' Huawei reasoned to herself with utmost gravity, 'then it must function like an odorless, airborne biological toxin. It likely causes immediate respiratory failure upon inhalation. I must monitor my lung capacity closely to ensure Chen’s proximity hasn't introduced fatal emotional pathogens into my personal breathing zone.'
Her profound train of thought suddenly hit a secondary, highly critical variable: she was incredibly hungry. 'Sub-hypothesis 02,' she noted internally, her eyes narrowing even further as she stared at the clouds. 'The school cafeteria's spicy chicken cutlet skewers possess a high savory metric. If I do not secure a carbohydrate asset within the next three minutes, my biological processing speeds will drop by fifteen percent.'
Yue slid her chair over, leaning her chin heavily on her hand as she watched her best friend look like a tragic, beautiful philosopher. Yue let out a long, exhausted sigh. "Lu, the guys over there are practically crying because they think your deep, silent expression means you're solving world hunger or thinking about a tragic past. What are you actually brooding about?"
Huawei turned her brilliant ruby eyes toward Yue, whispering with absolute, life-or-death seriousness. "Yue, we are in grave danger. I am currently evaluating the airborne transmission methods of the 'Silent Killer' phenomenon. Furthermore, my nutritional reserves are reaching critical depletion. We must deploy an immediate tactical sprint to the cafeteria to secure the spicy chicken skewers before the sports club depletes the local inventory."
Yue’s face planted directly onto her own desk with a loud, hollow thud. "Lu... it's just a trashy midnight soap opera title! Nobody is deploying biological weapons! And you look like a majestic goddess just to think about snacks?!"
Huawei firmly clicked her mechanical pen, completely immune to Yue's logical defeat. "A good researcher must always maintain high caloric intake to survive the threat matrix, Yue. Prepare for dismissal."

Scene 2: The Interrogation and the Internal Betrayal
The sharp BRRRING of the lunch bell finally echoed through the corridors of Shenghua Academy. But before a single regular student in Class 1-D could slide out of their seat to sprint for the cafeteria, two massive, terrifying shadows slammed into the doorway frame, blocking the exit entirely.
On the left side of the door stood Long, leaning his massive frame against the wall with his arms tightly crossed and a ferocious delinquent scowl. On the right side stood Rong, her uniform sleeves rolled up to her shoulders as she cracked her wrapped knuckles with an intense, predatory glare. The background side characters instantly shrank back into their chairs, trembling and clutching their empty lunchboxes, far too terrified to try squeezing past the school's two strongest fighters.
"Nobody leaves, and nobody enters," Long grunted, his deep voice vibrating the windows. "We are clearing a radius for the Guardian Goddess."
While the entire classroom sat frozen in a hostage-like silence, a single, relaxed figure casually strolled down the hallway. It was Chen. He was balancing a small plastic convenience bag in his hand, humming a cheerful tune as he headed straight toward the door, completely unbothered by the heavy atmosphere.
The second Chen tried to step over the classroom threshold, Long and Rong stepped forward in perfect synchronization, their shoulders connecting to form an absolute brick wall.
"Halt, sports club punk," Long growled, leaning down to glare directly into Chen's eyes. "State your identity, your business, and your logical authorization code for approaching the Guardian Goddess."
"Yeah! Back off from the angel!" Rong barked, sparks practically flying from her eyes as she tried to crush his spirit with her athletic aura. "No unverified variables allowed in this sector!"
Despite the terrifying interrogation and the wall of sheer muscle in his face, Chen didn't flinch, sweat, or back down a single inch. He just blinked his eyes, completely immune to their scary delinquent energy. A bright, incredibly friendly smile broke across his face as he held up the plastic bag. "Oh, hey!" Chen chuckled warmly. "I just brought some snacks for Lu. It's really hot today, so I thought she'd want something cold."
Right at that exact second, a loud, deep, incredibly clear GROOOOWL echoed from the back of the classroom.
Huawei froze at her desk, her ruby eyes widening to the size of saucers. Her stomach had just issued a high-volume acoustic alert, entirely betraying her majestic idol dignity in front of the entire room.
Long and Rong didn't notice the noise. "I don't care if you brought gold, ya punk!" Long shouted, raising a wrapped fist to push Chen away. "Turn around and walk—"
Before the word could even leave his mouth, a sudden blur of purple hair and a fluttering ribbon exploded from the back of the room. Driven by pure, raw survival adrenaline and an overwhelming craving for a carbohydrate asset, Huawei moved with the lightning speed of an Olympic sprinter. She bypassed her own maximum-security perimeter, darted straight past a thoroughly confused Long and Rong, and skidded to a halt directly in front of Chen, her eyes locked completely onto the convenience store bag.
Yue stood in the background, her jaw dropping so hard it practically hit her desk. She stared at her best friend in absolute, shocked disbelief. "Lu!" Yue shrieked, totally facepalming. "How shameless can your stomach possibly be?! You literally just rushed toward Chen because of food! You are so incredibly vulnerable right now!"

Scene 3: The Backdoor Loophole
Huawei completely ignored Yue’s frantic commentary. Her face was flushed a brilliant, flustered shade of pink, but her hunger completely overrode her system protocols. She reached out and snatched the plastic bag right out of Chen's hand, clinging to it like a rare scientific artifact.
"A-Asset secured," Huawei mumbled, her voice cracking slightly as she desperately tried to maintain her majestic, untouchable posture while ripping open a fresh bun. "This is merely a mandatory nutritional replenishment protocol. It carries zero emotional significance, Chen."
Chen’s smile widened, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he watched the elite school idol happily take a massive, satisfied bite of a cream-filled pastry. "I'm glad you like it, Huawei. Eat up, okay? See you at practice later!" Giving her a cheerful wave, he turned on his heel and casually walked back down the hallway, completely satisfied with his tactical delivery.
Meanwhile, just outside the door frame, the school's two ultimate delinquents stood entirely frozen in a state of absolute, comedic defeat.
Long’s jaw was wide open, his wrapped fists trembling in the air. "She... she just ignored our maximum-security wall... for a cream bun?" he whimpered, tears of pure emotional devastation pooling in his fierce, scarred eyes.
"The angel's perimeter... was breached by a convenience store snack..." Rong wailed, slumping against a metal locker row as her athletic pride shattered into microscopic pieces. "Our ultimate defensive aura was defeated by twenty percent real dairy custard!"
The two powerhouse fighters began crying dramatically in the background, thoroughly traumatized by how easily their scary pressure had been bypassed by a regular sports boy with a plastic bag.
Huawei happily chewed her snack by the window, the cold cream instantly resetting her biological processing speeds. Her ruby eyes tracked Chen's retreating figure down the corridor. She pulled her leather-bound notebook out of her bag with slightly trembling fingers. Her cheeks were still warm, but she forced herself to press her pen to the paper to log the catastrophic failure of her security wall.
With a fierce, deeply confused scowl, she scribbled a final entry: 'Emergency System Update: The delinquent firewalls have suffered a fatal error. Subject Chen has bypassed a Level-5 physical threat matrix using a low-cost, high-sugar nutritional asset. I am highly vulnerable to carbohydrate manipulation. Must investigate how to insulate my digestive tract from his sudden smiling patterns before my logical focus reaches zero percent.'
Yue slowly leaned over her desk, lowering her dark sunglasses with a slow, pitying shake of her head. "Well, Lu... looks like your expensive security software has a massive, backdoor food loophole. Very strategic."
Huawei took another defensive bite of her pastry, staring intensely at her notes. "Quiet, Yue. The data is currently undergoing immediate, high-calorie recalculation."
