“Give me a minute, I have to finish this before lunch,” Bayley mumbled at the knock on her door jamb.
“It’s okay, I can wait.”
Bayley froze at the voice, “Meredith?!” She jumped to her feet, banging her knee on her desk. Meredith stepped forward, “I'm okay! Uh, how can I help you?” Bayley asked, rubbing her knee.
“It's about yesterday…the Sean guy.”
Bayley frowned, “Is he bothering you?” she asked, stepping around her desk.
“No! It's Alex I'm worried about.”
Bayley chuckled, “I wouldn't worry about her.” She smiled leaning back against her desk.
“Just because she can take care of herself doesn't mean she doesn't need help!” Meredith growled.
“No, no I know I just meant-”
“Look, do you know anything about this Sean guy or what?” Meredith snapped, her hand landing on her hips.
“Uh yeah- He was exiled along with his former Alpha for aiding and abetting. Though he wasn't forced to move out of Silverclaw territory. We have no idea why he would move here other than-”
“Alex,” Meredith sighed, “Is he going to be trouble?”
“Eh, he seems to be more of a helper than an aggressor. I'm more worried about Vincent. After all, where there's a minion the boss isn't far behind.”
Meredith nods, “Thank you.”
“Anytime.”
Meredith smiles, “How are you?”
“What?”
“You know, after nearly getting run over twice.”
“Oh!” Bayley blushes, “Uhm, yeah I'm fine- I wasn't following you!” Meredith frowned. “Sorry, I just don't want you to think I'm a stalker-” Meredith's eyebrow raises. “I'm going to shut up now.”
Meredith laughs mumbling, “Okay, well have a good day.” before turning and leaving
“God, I'm an idiot,” Bayley groaned into her hands.
“Damn right,” Manny yelled from his desk.
“Don’t make me call your wife!”
