“So, what’s the plan?” Meredith asked, plopping down in the chair across from Bayley.
“What?” Bayley asked around a mouthful of donut.
“What’s your plan for the Sean guy? Are you gonna arrest him?”
Bayley frowned, swallowing the rest of her donut. “For what?”
“Cattle mutilation, breaking and entering, there has to be some sort of restraining order he's violating!”
Bayley smiled, “I have no proof he killed the cattle or broke into the vet. As for the…restraining order, that's a council problem.”
“What?” Meredith growled. Bayley shrunk in her chair. “He’s a danger to her! How is that not a police problem!”
“Uh…well there was no police report filed- everything went through the council-”
“Ugh,” Meredith growled, standing.
“I'm sure Alex and Vanessa have everything under control.”
“No they don't!” Meredith yelled, “Their plan is to wait for him and his douchebag alpha to make a move-”
“Make a move?” Bayley raised an eyebrow.
“Attack! Kill!”
Bayley sighed, “Meredith-”
“Forget it. You think I'm just the emotional omega-”
“I never said that- I never even thought that!” Bayley shot up from her chair.
“Right,” Meredith tsks, marching out of Bayley’s office.
“Meredith!” Bayley sighs, jogging after the omega and nearly slamming into her as she stopped in front of the station. “Sorry-”
“Isn't that him?” Meredith asks, pointing at a man across the street standing and staring at them.
“Meredith, get inside,” Bayley whispers, gently grabbing Meredith’s wrist. Meredith shrugs her off before she can pull her back into the station. “Meredith!” Bayley yells as the shorter woman marches halfway across the street before she can stop her.
“What? You think you scare me-”
Bayley felt her blood freeze as Sean started digging around in his pocket for something. “Meredith,” she growled, managing to put herself in between Meredith and whatever Sean was about to pull out.
Sean chuckled as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes, “So jumpy.” He eyed Meredith, “You should keep a better watch of your omega.”
“What?” Bayley frowned.
Sean raised an eyebrow, “Your omega. She's a bit… feral. There’s an easy way to fix that, you know.” He grinned, placing a cigarette between his lips.
Before Meredith could speak, Bayley's face was an inch from Sean‘s, “What’s that?”
Sean shrugged, “Eh, you could fuck her straight…metaphorically,” he laughed, “or…you could always give her a strong hand-”
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Bayley growled.
Sean’s grin widened, “What? She's your mate right?” Sean waited, his smile getting impossibly bigger at Bayley’s confusion.
“Oh…did you not know?” Sean giggled, “Man, you really do need to-”
“Get the fuck away from here before I give you a strong hand,” Bayley spat. Sean nodded, raising his hands in defeat, slowly backing away.
“See ya later pup.”
