Chapter 6
Everyone was in shock, surrounded by guns, and Paulina’s friend was consuming drugs during the escape plan.
‘What the fuck? ’ Don’t tell me that drug addict is your friend?’ cheered Rowan.
‘I don’t know, he doesn’t consume any of this shit, Lâm! Come on, it’s me! Pau…! Pau…stical, Paustical!’
‘Jeongin, what should we do?’ quaked Dilka.
Jeongin was aiming the people with their wrists; he groaned and laughed, while he was trembling.
‘We lost him; he’s pissed,’ mumbled Rowan.
‘No way, there must be something,’ exclaimed Dilka.
Rowan tried to find a place to escape; he analysed the room and noticed there were soldiers to the left, right, and in front of them. There wasn’t a special gun to eradicate them easily, and the leader was sitting in the centre, with a confident smile.
‘There´s no escape, just behind us.’
Paulina tried to whisper to Lâm and convince him to follow them, but he was so easygoing, dancing with his hands and singing.
‘You know, what´ve you done? You ruined my home’
‘Yeah, yeah, but it was an accident!’ smirked Jeongin.
‘An accident, you know how many people have you killed? There will be cops soon, because of you!’
‘We just want our friend back. Can you give us… and I will fix this soon, I promise.’ Jeongin turned to his friends, ‘Hey guys! You see? Not everything can be solved with violence, just pay attention’
A shot was coming from the centre; no one couldn’t reacts on time, just Jeongin, who used a wall in the middle.
‘Now… fight, my warr…aargh…rrios, ’ expresses Jeongin, and makes his hand as a pirate’s claw.
Jeongin extends the shield to cover all their friends. Paulina shouts at his friend, but he does not pay any attention. Rowan remains quietly, and Dilka draws her gun.
The vandals, near Lâm, shoot, but Paulina burns all the bullets and runs directly to take her friend. No one hurts them because of the fire wall, and Jeongin activates his speaker and starts to dance like an Idol singer.
‘Stop dancing! shitty Kozhanasyr, ’ Dilka fumed.
‘We need to leave,’ said Rowan, and moved behind them.
‘That’s it, Jeongin, come back!’
‘Sure!’ Jeongin turned off the shield and walked without any worries to them, and the beasts started to fire their guns.
‘The shield!’ thundered Dilka.
‘The fucking shield, don’t forget it, Jeongin!’ added Rowan.
Everyone shoots, the people with blades run, and the woman with a big machine in her ass is climbing the walls.
Jeongin triggers the shield again, and the shots finish; the runners jump higher, others too high that they pinned their heads to the ceiling. Dilka shoots and kills 3 people like a lion hunting. Jeongin resists with the shield, ignoring the jumpers.
Paulina creates a fire roof to burn all the survivors; the smoke moves like an earthquake and makes Jeongin jump scared.
‘Do not stop, Jeongin!’ shouts Rowan.
From the smoke, a woman with a big machine inserted in her ass appears and takes Dilka, destroying the wall, and leaves her near the cliff.
Rowan digs in the floor, destroys the third floor, and falls on the second; he devastates it, and falls on the first floor. Jeongin waits for Paulina and her friend to escape, so he can deactivate the shield and go down to the second floor.
Dilka is being held by that woman machine. She uses her only available hand; she shoots with her left hand, and Rowan is digging the main floor to make it soft for Dilka.
That woman tries to hit Dilka, but is interrupted by Jeongin, who fires an energy shot into her body. Dilka frees herself and jumps into Jeongin, but he couldn’t take her back and fell down.
The safe place was ready for Dilka, and she survived, but it wasn’t over. When the whole mates were on the floor, many ravagers climbed on the woman machine, and others were standing on the destroyed cliff, ready to shoot.
‘Ok, we got my mate, now hurry!’ Paulina remarked.
‘What? Are we gonna run? But this is our moment! Guys’.
‘Yes, but not now, Jeongin, and this is not our goal; we still have more things to do!’ commanded Dilka.
‘Just follow me,’ ordered Rowan, who scoops the earth up like a mole finding his earthworm.
Jeongin was so magnificent observing how that machine changes its speed and form like thin slats, in pieces; the blue sky colour changed into purple, but before receiving the attack, he was pushed to the ground, thanks to Paulina.
‘Wait! Where’s that girl?! We can’t leave her! They're gonna go after her!’ trembled Paulina.
‘Yes, that’s true, Rowan, gowsw…’ stated Jeongin, pointing his finger to the streets.
‘Come on babe, drop your drones,’ Ordered Dilka.
‘Wait, what drones?’
‘You don’t have ones?
‘Eh no… why sho… why should I have these shits?’ He snorted and crossed his arms.
Rowan made a small hole in the earth to see where that girl was, and Paulina was covering the backside. When Rowan saw her, they went into her, still in the ground, and sank the rubbish bin, picked her up, and continued, leaving the big trash as a locked door.
When they knew no one was following them, Rowan blocked the path and went on earth. They were walking in the streets; Lâm was resting his arm on Paulina’s shoulder, and the rescued lady was being carried by Jeongin.
They stopped in the middle of the suburbs, big flats covered with smoke and pipes; there weren’t enough people there.
‘Should we go to the polic…’ inquired Jeonjin.
‘Fuck!’ yelled Paulina.
‘No, my dear, this time I’m not by your side,’ Dilka reported.
‘No, and fuck yourself, the migration could…’ Rowan gulped.
‘Shhhh!’ Paulina screamed and put her finger in her mouth.
‘What are you afraid of, migration?’ begged Jeongin.
A white outfit woman, walk around them, and they tapping their hands, except Jeongin, but they stopped when the lady showed her tech legs and ignored them. So, they took a long breath.
‘Guys, what happened?’
The lady finally woke up and yawned. ‘Please… take me home.’ After she explained where she lived, they went ahead.
They didn’t take the train or other transport; they moved and watched the whole city. They walked below tunnels where trains passed through; they passed some digital doors, and they were surprised because they thought that girl lived in modern houses, tall flats, and shiny ones.
The happiness stopped when they noticed she directed them to the shipping containers. A lot of these boxes were set up like flats, opened and clean, but cheap and narrow.
When they entered, the lady finally talked, ‘Thanks… I’m Anna, why… did you save me?’
‘Ehmm, I…’ stammered Paulina.
‘It’s our job, Anna; we couldn’t let you die. My name is Jeongin’.
‘Wait!’ Dilka exclaimed.
‘Stop’. Paulina reported.
‘You can´t reveal your real identity; remember she’s still working for them,’ reported Rowan.
‘Don’t worry, I won’t return to that shitty hole, never in my who…le… life,’ Bawled Anna, and her eyes turned red like fire, and to curl up in the fetal position.
Lâm was watching her, inclining his head, trying to acknowledge what was happening, and the rest of the crew were frustrated: Rowan shallowed breath, Dilka bit inside her cheek, and Jeongin was shaking his hands. Paulina was the only one who came closer and hugged her, ‘Oh, sweetie, I’m so sorry’.
‘You wanna talk?’ inquired Jeongin, trying to hide their hands like a child destroying everything.
Anna didn’t express anything; she continued killing her pain. After all, she was a machine unable to react or think, so now she’s free; she’s freeing all that pain, and when she feels more confident, she hugs Paulina, stronger than a daughter saying goodbye to his father before going to war.
‘Am… I…’
‘No, Jeongin, leave her; she can help her. She just needs to release all that pain,’ Dilka assessed.
Next day
‘Where the… hell is this place? No, no, sorry, Mister Vũ… I…’
‘Who are you supposed to be talking about, Lâm?’ Paulina requested.
‘Paulina? How… you, you found me!’ he stood up and went to Paulina to hug her.
‘So, you are finally ok? Isn’t it? Please tell me you are ok; yesterday you were so drugged that you didn’t sing anything. I thought you never used drugs’
‘Well, I used to say the same thing, but…’ Rowan laughed, but when he saw veins popping in Paulina’s face, he stopped and moved near to Jeongin.
Jeongin and Dilka noticed he was ready to talk, and they just said good morning and continued talking with Anna.
‘Look, Pau, I don’t remember very well, but thanks, I… how di… I—?’
‘That name, Vũ? Is the asshole who kidnapped you?’ interrupted Paulina to Lâm.
‘I was there, just to fucking some damn whores, and…’ He explained before having a kind of glitch; his head was moving without control, like a robot under the water. But Anna looked at him, with dark, squinted eyes.
