Ryatt Blackburn is at his lowest point. He's depressed, unstable, and at imminent risk of failing out of wizard college. Desperate, and with no other viable life options, he requests school tutoring as a last resort to avoid flunking entirely.
Unfortunately for Ryatt's already fragile mental state, the instructor assigned to be personal witness to his struggle is the handsome and talented Jade Gryffton—a former teen wizard celebrity and scion of a famous magic family. He's also Ryatt's childhood idol.
Mortifying as the ordeal is, Ryatt starts to experience some things he's never felt before while working in such close proximity to Jade.
And Jade himself isn't exactly what Ryatt expected.
As they grow closer through Jade's relentless efforts to help Ryatt succeed in magic, Ryatt can't help but feel like he's about to lose control of this delicate balance and ruin everything.
