It happened again. What am I even doing, ordering her around?
With a little more training she could be my superior, run a kindergarten alone, even. But that’s not the way things are. That’s not what we were made for. If I even approached a council about this she could be labeled off-color, or, worse, I could be perceived as faulty. What kind of Peridot am I if a Quartz can surpass me?
I will not continue our professional relationship. I must not. If I foster her curiosity any more she’ll go out of line. It’s not fair, but I couldn’t bear to see her…Nevermind.
