On Monday, September 21, 2026 news broke that Kakao, the company that owns Tapas, is going to be shutting down Tapas itself.

Kakao has also expressed interest in integrating AI into whatever comes next. I am fiercely against AI slopmachines.

Kakao will be releasing a statement on September 29, 2026 with more information about its plans for Tapas but I am hesitant to keep my work on the site given the company's interest in AI and the lack of communication with even Tapas' regular employees.

I have already made accounts at a couple other webnovel hosting platforms and can also be found on Bluesky and Mastodon as well as Discord:

This will be the last update and I'm sorry it's not a new chapter. I had quite a few scheduled but I don't see the point of posting them at the moment if Tapas will not be around later this year. The Arborist was going to run through the spring. It will now do so elsewhere.

I will be posting Book of CoL from the beginning including The Arborist on NamiComi and Pinya for starters. Then, I hope to begin posting my other works as well but, in total that's over 200 chapters and will take some time and energy.

I hope y'all will find me and continue to read my work.
