Cut! And that's a wrap!
Eight years ago I started this project from a three-page sequence I thought was so cool!
And I wrote a script, developed characters, drew modelsheets, learned to model 3d, experimented various types of backgrounds, shading, went from paper to digital, read more about scripts (not just comic book scripts), went from sketchup to blender, tried different renders, went from a page in 3 days to a page in a month (or more)...
It was a quite a ride. In the end, I spent more time modeling the background then sketching and drawing the actual page. Did I have to model a entire gym (which I ended up not using) instead of just eyeballing and referencing it from a generic photo? No, but it was fun as hell! I went after google to learn about what should be in a auditorium, lights, fire extinguishers, lights on the floor, how to make a curtin in blender, how to wrap a candy in blender. I feasted my curiosity on as much as I could. But unfortunately, this is the story I wanted to tell so far. In fact, a whole more than that.
Thanks for all who rode along it, I'm very grateful to you.
And now for something completely different.
p.s.: I forgot the "exit" luminous signs over the doors, but, meh.
