Eventually we’ll get an episode that doesn’t introduce new major characters. But it’s not this one. Or the next one.
I’ll give away a year of Patreon membership to the first person who can name what song they’re playing. Just googling the lyrics won’t work. >:)
For some reason writing this episode was really challenging, and the ending wound up going a totally different direction than I planned. Sometimes writing is just like that, I guess. Drawing has always been the easier part of the webcomic process by far, so I hope I learned a lot about my writing process from this and won’t struggle quite as much in the future. I really want this comic to have a decent buffer to preview on Patreon, but that’s hard to achieve when the very first part of this process has so much friction. Writing still doesn’t feel effortless, but it’s getting better.

Yeah I feel you on the writing. Though sometimes you do just have to let it go in a different direction. I like to think my characters have minds of their own. It makes the writing dynamic, but often means sacrificing specific planned out scenes
