"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Hyunseok was sitting in the hall having breakfast when he suddenly heard Yihan's loud scream coming from upstairs, and without wasting another second, he immediately stood up and rushed toward his room, his heart pounding as countless possibilities flashed through his mind.

The moment he entered the room, however, he found Yihan standing beside the bed, scratching the back of his head with an embarrassed little laugh on his face.

"Yihan, what happened?"

"I just fell from the bed, that's it."

Hyunseok stared at him for a moment before letting out a quiet breath of relief.

"The maid made breakfast. Come downstairs and eat."

"Okay."

Hyunseok then went back downstairs to finish his breakfast, and a few minutes later, Yihan finally came down as well, walking toward the dining table and sitting beside Hyunseok, who was still eating.

The breakfast was simple but warm, consisting of pancakes covered with maple syrup and a glass of milk, and Yihan immediately began eating as though he had been hungry for quite some time.

Hyunseok quietly watched him eat, a small smile appearing on his face as he asked,

"Yihan, did you sleep well?"

"Hmm... I don't know, but my whole body is aching. I don't know why."

"Ahem... I think you were sleeping in a weird position."

"Maybe."

Hyunseok lowered his gaze for a moment.

He hadn't meant to lie to Yihan, nor had he intended to keep anything from him, but it had happened without either of them realizing it, and now he couldn't stop wondering what would happen if Yihan suddenly remembered everything.

He thought about every possible answer he could give, but in the end, he realized that Yihan had completely forgotten the previous night, the night that had felt almost unreal to Hyunseok, and although a part of him was relieved that Yihan was unaware of what had happened, another part of him couldn't help feeling uneasy because he knew that the memories could return at any moment.

Hyunseok didn't want to make Yihan remember something that might frighten or confuse him, so for now, he simply remained quiet.

After finishing breakfast, Hyunseok returned to his room, took a shower, and got ready for the office, carefully fixing his clothes and making sure everything about his appearance was neat before finally heading back downstairs.

The moment Yihan looked at him, however, his jaw dropped slightly.

For the first time, he was seeing Hyunseok properly dressed for work, and although Hyunseok had initially looked almost like a terrifying monster in his eyes, something about his appearance had changed now that he was dressed so neatly and carried himself with such confidence.

Yihan couldn't deny that Hyunseok looked handsome.

Even so, there was still something about him that gave Yihan a strange negative feeling that he couldn't quite explain.

A few minutes later, Mr. Kim arrived to take Hyunseok to the office, and before leaving, Hyunseok turned toward Yihan with a serious expression.

"Don't go outside, okay?"

"Make sure you stay inside the mansion and keep yourself safe."

"If anything happens, call me."

He paused for a moment before suddenly remembering something.

"...Wait. You don't have a phone, right?"

"I'll send you a new one."

Yihan simply nodded.

"Okay."

After making sure Yihan understood, Hyunseok finally left the mansion with Mr. Kim and headed directly to the office.

As soon as he arrived, he first went to Hyunwoo's office, greeted him, and asked whether he was beginning to get used to his new environment and responsibilities, and after briefly speaking with him, Hyunseok returned to his own office and began going through the files that had been lying on his desk.

The office was quiet, with only the occasional sound of paper turning beneath his fingers, but after several minutes, the door suddenly opened and Mr. Kim hurried inside.

"Sir, there's someone outside who insists on meeting you."

Hyunseok looked up from the files.

"Send him in."

A few moments later, the door opened again, and a man slowly stepped inside.

The moment Hyunseok looked at him, he immediately noticed how poor and exhausted he appeared.

The clothes he was wearing were old and torn in several places, his beard had grown out, and the dark circles beneath his eyes made it obvious that he hadn't been sleeping properly for quite some time.

Hyunseok frowned slightly.

"Who are you?"

The man lowered his head before introducing himself.

"Hello, sir. My name is Rujin."

"I used to work at XX Company, but my wife's health suddenly became worse, and she needed surgery. I needed fifty million for the operation, so I borrowed the money from some people known as the Rock Workers."

"They gave me fifty million without asking for any interest, and at the time, I felt as though they had come from heaven to help me. Maybe it was because of the way I looked, but they didn't ask for any interest, so I accepted the money and paid for my wife's surgery."

"I worked with my heart and soul, day and night, because I knew I had to repay them, and when the day finally came for me to return the money, I went to them with the full fifty million."

Rujin's voice began trembling.

"But when I gave them the money, they told me it wasn't enough."

"They said that with the interest, I now had to pay two hundred and fifty million."

His voice broke as tears began streaming down his face.

"When I borrowed the money from them, they told me there was no interest, but now they're saying I have to pay two hundred and fifty million."

Rujin wiped his face with trembling hands, but the tears continued to fall.

"They took my son."

"If I don't pay them one hundred million, they said they'll kill my son."

"Sir, please..."

"Can you please give me one hundred million?"

"I swear on my son that I'll pay you back with interest."

"Please, sir..."

Rujin was about to fall at Hyunseok's feet when Hyunseok immediately stopped him.

Mr. Kim stood nearby, listening carefully to every word, and even his expression had softened after hearing Rujin's story.

Hyunseok, however, felt something even deeper.

He had never experienced the fear of not having enough money to survive, because he had been born into wealth, and from the moment he came into this world, he had possessed everything he could possibly need except for one thing—the people he truly wanted beside him.

For a moment, Hyunseok simply stared at Rujin.

Then he slowly stood up from his seat and gently placed both hands on Rujin's shoulders.

"Mr. Kim, give me some tissues."

Mr. Kim immediately handed them over, and Hyunseok gently gave them to Rujin.

"Sir, I will give you one hundred million."

"Go and save your precious son."

"And if you need more, don't hesitate to call me, okay?"

Rujin looked at him in disbelief, tears still filling his eyes.

Hyunseok then took out his visiting card and handed it to him.

"Take this."

He turned toward Mr. Kim.

"Bring the money."

A few minutes later, Mr. Kim returned carrying the money, and Hyunseok handed the amount to Rujin.

However, instead of giving him only the one hundred million he had asked for, Hyunseok gave him an additional fifty million.

"Take this as well."

"That's one hundred and fifty million in total."

"You should have enough to get your son back and deal with whatever comes next."

Rujin stared at the money in his trembling hands, unable to believe what had just happened.

Hyunseok looked at him calmly.

"Now go."

"Take your son and bring him home safely."
