THIRD PERSON
At the Bramville wolf pack inside a cabin, an alpha was playing with his five-year-old son. They were bonding while playing with legos. A noise came from their side, the alpha looked up in the direction of the sound, and saw his wife with packed luggage on her side. He didn’t remember her saying he was going on a trip.
“Darling, where are you going?” The alpha asked, confused.
“Rendall, I found my fated mate.” The woman said without hesitating.
“What? Who is it?” Rendall asked wide-eyed. He was shocked to hear those words coming from his wife. They were just married, not bonded. She had never wanted to bear the mark, but Rendall still took her because he loved her.
“It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that I am leaving with him.” She said in a serious tone. Not a single ounce of regret in her voice.
“You are what? You can’t do that.” Rendall frowned.
“Rendall, I never loved you. I only married you because you were the alpha. You would never be able to compare to my fated mate.” She confessed, dryly.
“Wait, what about Byron? Are you going to leave us just like that?” The alpha asked, pointing to their son.
“Goodbye, Rendall.” The woman said, picking up her luggage and then walking out of the house.
Just at that moment, little Byron started to cry. Rendall embraced his son in his arms, doing his best to comfort him. The alpha felt like crying, but had to remain strong for his son. He had no idea how he was going to raise him alone.
But he did know, he was not going to leave his son as his mother had.
Rendall woke up to the sound of his alarm. He woke up in an empty bed and realized it had all been a nightmare. That was a day that happened ages ago, and a day he could never forget. A nightmare that he hadn’t had in a long time. With a sigh, he got up to start his day, but he was still bothered from relieving that time.

In a land far away from Bramville, a deer shifter omega had just found out the best news. He was pregnant, and he couldn’t wait to tell the news to his mate. They had never tried officially to get pregnant, but it was something that just happened. When the omega entered his house, there was an unknown scent there. A woman.
“Who are you?” The omega asked the strange woman.
“Oh, great. You are here.” She said with a smile. “You should start packing your things.”
“What? I don’t understand.” He was confused.
“You will no longer live with the alpha.” She stated.
“What? Why? He is my mate.” The omega asked wide-eyed and confused. Why did he have to leave? Who was her? Where is my alpha? Were some of the questions running through his mind. “Who are you?”
Just then, the front door opened back again. The alpha walked into the house, and the woman ran to him, all happy that he was there. The omega couldn’t help but be even more confused.
“Dear, what is happening? Who is this?” The omega asked to his alpha.
“Bambi, this is my fated mate.” The alpha answered. Bambi was taken aback by the news. “From today, our relationship is over. I’m ending our bond.”
“What? You can’t do that.” Bambi shouted.
“Oh, I can. I am hereby cancelling our bond.” The alpha said. Something inside Bambi changed. He felt a pain inside his chest and heard a crack inside his mind. He could no longer feel what his alpha felt. Their bond was broken. How could it be that easy? “You have until tomorrow to pack your things and leave my herd. You are no longer part of it.”
“You can’t kick me out like that.” Bambi frowned, holding his chest from the pain. How could the alpha be well while he was dying inside? It was unfair. Had their love meant nothing? All those nights together. The baby growing in his belly.
“Oh, he can. He is the alpha after all, and you are nothing.” The woman said with a wicked smile. The alpha smiled just as wickedly, and that’s when he realized, they could never know about his baby.
Bambi woke up startled and drenched in sweat. It had been a long time since he had that horrible dream. That nightmare. The day his life changed forever. The day he was kicked out of his herd, the day he lost his mate to fate.
“Are you okay, Papa?” Bambi heard the voice of his ten-year-old son next to him.
“I’m okay. Papa just had a nightmare.”
The only thing Bambi thanked about being kicked out of his herd and having broken his bond was his little fawn. His son was the only thing that kept him going after such difficult times. The only one he loved in his life.
