In the city's tombs, the lady Kim Eun-ju stood before Sujung Myórtsiche's tombstone. The sky was cloudy; some water was falling. The impact was choking her with the stone tombs; she felt her body wet and cold, and her tears were dancing with the river.
‘My friend, you don’t know how much I miss you; you were the only one who defended me every time, the man who avoided me suffering more abuse, but now I’m alone, Kim can’t protect me in the statements, and they… they force me to do… at the beginning it was me, now… poor animals’.
She drops the flowers in her tomb; her eyes change into a red flame, an ambivalent feeling between rage and depression. She drinks the sweet river from the rain, and her salad tears, a mix like her feelings.
‘Now they will pay more. I’ll have a new show in four days, a concert, but I don’t feel ok, after all what I did to get this opportunity… was disgusting, I don’t feel proud of it, but they have a noose around my neck’.
In a cellar, where the only lights are the computer and machines, Kim In-ha is surrounded by his men; everyone is doing something different. The noise is the fingers touching and moving on the computers, some clicks, and opening new browsers; the humidity is worse than ever, and Kim feels the room warm and wet.
‘Is it ready?’
‘Yes, sir.’
‘Does anyone know about it?’
‘No, sir, for now Eun-ju is okay; she didn’t report anything, she is worry what she did.’
Kim In-ha bothers himself, touching his mouth and dragging it so slowly in another direction. ‘What a… misfortune, poor Eun-ju, I hope she’s ok.’
After some minutes, one of his men released a new file on the communicators, where everyone could see it.
‘Guys! The fried chicken is ready,’ expressed Anna, who was walking with many plates.
‘Oh, let me help you,’ added Paulina, and received thanks from her friend.
The dishes were on the table, but they sat on the floor. Rowan was kind of uncomfortable; even if he didn’t have any shoes, he was trying to move and get a new position, but the outcome was the same.
‘It’s still hard to be familiar with this; how can you… and why are you sitting in this… damn! Just like this!’
‘Well, I thought it could be nice after our local friend here,’ watching Jeongin and smiling. ‘And also… we are in Najoemguk, so…’
‘Come on, Rowan, Anna is right; you have been living here for a long time, you should try it, at least,’ Spoke Paulina.
‘Are we gonna mix them, right?’ suggested Dilka, picking up some dishes.
‘No, no, why?’
Everyone was watching Jeongin; they stopped moving and expressing anything; they were like stones, trying to guess what was happening.
‘We thought…, or we know in your country… you mix the plates; you know with your friends…’
When Dilka was silent, Rowan took advantage, ‘Yes… or you don’t consider us… as your friends? Are we disgusting for you?’
‘No, no! It just—’
A sound from the radio appears, a new message that makes Jeongin more alert than the accusations from his friends. He stands up and picks up the signal, and asks for his friends to be quiet.
‘Attention, please, attention, is this the signal of one of the new saviours?’
‘Em… who are you?’
‘I’m Kim.’
‘Kim? The revolutionary leader? The…’
‘Yes, exactly, you were one of the people who helped me that time to release that message, isn’t it?’
‘Yes, we were, and I did it.’
‘Excellent, we need to talk, but first, have you seen the new recording of the sarpionist Mude wi-e?’
‘No, no! What happened?’
The transmission cut, and Jeongin continued talking until notice Kim had abandoned him. The rest of the team asked him who it was, and when he answered them, they were shocked and stopped eating.
‘Oh my gosh… Jeongin, that’s amazing; we’ll finally get someone who will keep us going, so cool,’ rejoiced Dilka.
‘Not sure, he hung up, but… he asked me if I’ve already seen the new recording… about a sarpionist, I wonder which one it's about.’
‘Well… what are we waiting for? Let’s go.’
‘Yes, but first, let me eat my meal, please! I beg all of you!’ Paulina shouted to Rowan and joined her hands, praying for everyone.
The deep opportunity went into a store to see new outfits to hide their identity, such as glasses, makeup, and hats, and Anna was with them. When they finished, Anna said goodbye, and they were in the communicator’s establishment; every time a cop was near, they bowed their heads.
The police asked for a person to stop yelling, because he was shouting: ‘liars! liars! we know it Mude Wi-e!’
They listened to many people who were talking about that sarpionist.
‘Do you believe it? She’s a fucking killer.’ Heard Jeongin and his team
‘But we didn’t see that in the video.’
‘But they are not here.’
When they passed, they heard more complaints; now, a couple was kvetching about the same problem.
‘If she did that, it means everyone is the same? I’m wholly scared.’
‘I don’t want to prove it myself.’
‘I wonder where she is now?’
‘Probably hiding, by herself, or the damned government hides her, to protect her. I don’t know what to think now.’
Rowan makes signals to Jeongin, and he mentions he heard it loud and clear; he seems bothered. After all, Jeongin is the only person in his team to believe in the sarpionist, even the rumours.
The team hired a private room, and they searched for that video, but now it wasn’t there. They tried to find it, but there was nothing recorded. Paulina and Rowan offered to ask people around the establishment about that title or even for a code.
They returned and gave the answers to Jeongin. He tried so hard, but he couldn’t find it, so they acknowledged that the government had manipulated that video to avoid more people seeing it. Before they entered, the people were calmer than the other time, probably because the citizens who saw it were minimal.
Jeongin was covering his mouth with his hand, thinking if he should do the same as the other day.
Outside the building, the sarpionist Mude Wi-e was attending to some civilians, talking, and even leaving them to take some pictures; she was really nice.
She wore an orange jacket with a white and grey logo on her left arm, and a green tattoo on her left hip; it was visible because her navel was free, without any cover by her jacket. Her trousers are clear grey with two black lines, and up her black boots, she holds two white rings. Her right face has a black mask with three white lines, and her grey hair is being protected by a black crown.
‘So Mude Wi-e, where’s the rest of your team?’
‘Are you going to go on another mission soon?’
‘Hey, you were here some days ago, isn’t it?’
‘Many questions, but don’t worry, everything is fine in my space. It’s hard to respond to each one.’
The crowd was amazed; some people who were walking in the same station, when they observed the meeting and received the question about what was happening, they decided to stay, and the pattern was repeated. Some people argue who is more famous, idols or sarpionist.
‘Ok, we're sorry, Lady Mude Wi-e, but tell us, what were you doing that day?’
She smiled, raised her hands to catch the attention, ‘I was there, just for protection, to calm people.’
‘Do you believe in Kim’s words?’
‘No, he’s a liar.’
‘But he explained the government’s plans, and he promised us to continue spreading the information.’
‘He shall pay, pay attention.’ Explained the sarpionist in a serious tone.
In a small grey room, with neon blue lights, with the smell of glass cleaner, a parched feeling in the mouth from air conditioning, and the ambience of printer paper and cardboard file folders, the Deep Opportunity was waiting for that video.
Rowan is fed up with waiting without answers, ‘Come on Jeo, just do it! Like the other time… you got it.’
‘Yes, Jeo, I don’t want to continue robbing food from our friend; we need more money,’ Dilka sobbed.
‘Leo—Jeo… sorry, we know you can handle this, you’re amazing!’ Paulina belted.
‘Thank you, but there’s only one problem: how can we get out of here? Without our outfits.’
‘True,’ Paulina assessed.
Rowan was holding his hand to his cheek until he got a new idea. ‘ok we don’t have our ropes, but I can dig a hole here’. Everyone in the group except Jeongin was nodding and raising their fists to motivate him, ‘Do it! It!’
‘Ok, I’ll do it,’ and he tried to decipher the system again. After a while, he found the video, but before to see it, Rowan advised him to publish it in all the systems again. Jeongin was trying it again, but now the system was harder to hack than the other day.
Finally, he did it, but he couldn’t share in all the communication platforms, just in some transmissions and other public announcements, and Jeongin recommended his team leave before the police came again; he preferred that before demolishing a house.
The community is running outside the building, but they stop when they see an announcement on the glass building. Everyone saw it the same way, even the questions for Mude Wi-e were dismissed for a while. The team couldn’t see her due to the crowd.
In the video, something that everyone knew was happening: the communicator station closed, the police arrived, all because of Kim’s transmission, but in this video, the camera captured Mude Wi-e leaving the place after she entered.
Later, she came back and took two people with her; one was bleeding on his head, and the other one was awkward to find blood or bruises, but both of them were unconscious, and she picked them up outside.
