Shakespeare and the Lady appear in the first of the series' occasional run of illustrated sonnets.
This was the first cartoon featuring the Lady that I completed, so she looks a little different than in the rest of the run. I'm very fond of the artwork as it stands though, so have never really felt like changing it.
Zounds, Alack, and By My Troth is a series of comic strips inspired by the works of William Shakespeare and drawn in old school black and white penciling.
Macbeth wants a crown. Hal wants a drink. Portia wants some trousers. Hamlet just wants an intelligent conversation. And all Romeo and Juliet want is each other.
And as for the man who created them all, he has bills to pay, fans to please, insecurities to cope with and the constant threat of beheading on his plate. He’s going to need all the help he can get if he’s going to make his mark on history. Fortunately, he knows just the Lady for the job…
