Base VS Reference doodle

I'm tired and that base is so Tomoya Okazaki.
I'm very intrigued by the topic of bases, especially the controversy behind using them. Here I wanted to try out an idea where I use a pre-made base and go over it in a similar way to base-users do and then use the base as a reference/inspiration to make my own original drawing.
You can tell I prefer the original drawing.
