To solve you need to know the formula of the Lines of light that cast the shadows.
You need to know slope and Y intercept to make the formulas
Right poll is Y=1/2x - 6.5
Light Poll is Y = 1/3x + 0
Then set them equal to each other!
1/2x - 6.5 = 1/3x (Subtract 1/2x from both sides)
-6.5 = -1/6x (multiply by -6)
39 = x
put The "x" into either equation (they both get the same answer)
1/2(39) - 6.5
19.5 - 6.5
13 is Y
y is the height
So 13 feet is how high the Lamp is!
