I had trouble describing briefly the surreal housing situation at my college for this comic.
You aren't normally allowed to live in private accommodation. Instead the college has lots of rooms inside its walls and in the numerous buildings that they own in the adjacent streets. There is a master key that all students have which will let them into any college building. It's perhaps not unusual to see some random person you don't know in the building you live in because the lack of communal areas meant people would visit each other's rooms often, but explaining I was just there looking for a bath would have been... awkward.
