Early update - I'm away from home and making the most of reliable internet while I have it!
This might just be my favourite page of this whole comic, mostly because it gave me an excuse to look up lots of Victorian winding engines. Now my YouTube suggested videos contain nothing but shaky videos of steam engines, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for my readers.

Loving the four panels showing nothing but the machinery. They're totally not necessary to tell the events that take place, but they set the mood, and are an indication of what the boy might be looking at/ listening to (possibly to take his mind off the other stuff).
