My family's house burned down on St. Patricks Day in 2015. At the time I was living a state away with my grandmother and I didn't even get to see the aftermath until about three weeks after I drew this.
For the record though- everything is fine now. The house is rebuilt, everyone is safe, I actually did get most of my old sketchbooks back! That was a pleasant surprise. They still smell like smoke though.
Most of our photos we lost though.
Not all, but most.
