I got this question a LOT. People really want to know what to classify you as.
To be fair, people probably wanted to know how I identified and I feel certain my friends would have respected it if I'd actually been honest with them.

Sometimes we (I'm speaking for cis ppl) ask because we don't want to misgender you and call you the wrong pronoun :S The worse is that in my language (french) there isn't really a neutral pronoun like "they" in english.
