Blaine is the mysterious demon who marks Jeremoth for dead at the start of the comic. He is a reaping demon, but his other motives are still unknown.
He smokes cigarettes because the air on Earth is toxic to him and drain his energy. Cigarettes give him the closest chemicals found in the air in his world.
He has a bad temper and doesn't negotiate well.
