Now, I don't know how it works with all sensation-sound Synnies but, I know how it works for me. Sometimes when I listen to music it feels like my skin wants to come up off my body and vent fire. My scapula tend to become white hot and this can become incredibly painful. Granted, sometimes it happens when a song has become particularly intense and the music is winding up. Naturally, if I'm experiencing a sensory overload, such is NOT a kind of song I use to abate it. Sensory overload actually has very similar sensations in that, when sounds get too intense or I've been exposed to high amounts of loud crashing music or noise, my skin begins to heat up and my back feels like it's cracking open. Truly it's not pleasant, it's like leaning your back against an oven.
That said, I do love intense music, I just have to go easy on it so I don't inadvertently cause my own misfortune
